I was just about to post it. Still, one fucking spoiler in it - hope that we'll be able to do something about it.

Liked the music, but I was expecting some Polish song for the trailer. Just like they did it in This War of Mine trailer.

You really want to read it? Shit is important. Trust the Pole who have read the books.

I didn't recognize him and even now I'm unsure if it's him. But I would say that if it's not a setup for something bigger (like it was with Foltest) you will be able to save him. Question is what will be the price of doing it. Not being able to save someone else?

    That's a big spoiler, don't click it >_<

I'm just waiting in my chair, counting down to the release. So excited.

    Edit: Welp, game's live.

Anyone have any thoughts so far? Definitely picking up Friday/Saturday after my assignments are finished.

I like it so far but I haven't really gotten into the meat of it yet. I might grab some screenshots later but it doesn't seem that intensive graphics wise so far. On mostly Ultra settings, I'm hovering around 50-60 fps. A friend of mine with a 660 mostly gets around 30 fps on medium settings.

Conveniently got a sick day, playing it right now.

    First impressions :

-Probably the most beautiful open world game I've played.
-The prologue in The Witcher and Witcher 2 was meh, but CD Projekt clearly worked on that.
-World seems coherent, with interesting and well scripted side quests
-There is that feel recurrent in the games. Even though Geralt is badass, he is only one man. I like that.
-Combat : even better than Witcher 2, which was already a huge improvement on the first game. Geralt seems more agile and responsive, and the fights more vigorous.

Only one thing I dislike : the 'consolized' inventory and UI. I'm considering switching to playing with a pad, but KBAM plays fairly well.

Forgive me for being an attention whore, but I just had to. I just picked up my Collector's Edition. And once again CDProjekt proves that they are the best company in the fucking world.

The Bottle is for scale. Shit was heavy and uncomfortable to carry.

    Why CDProjekt owns? Here's why:

Steel case looks fine and it has slots for 6 CDs, so it doesn't feel clunky.

Yup, I know what I'm gonna wear as a GM :D

And onca again The Bottle returns to show the scale:

And now back to mopping that my computer is a piece of crap that can't run this game. Well, I have time to save money to buy a rig strong enough to run this in its fullest. Also, the soundtrack is great.

Maybe you should have spent some of your CE money on a graphics card? :)

My computer is five years old. A new graphic card wouldn't cut it. Also, I'm not sure that I could but a card strong enough to run Witcher 3 for an equivalent of less than $100.

Decided to test out the first hour, the intro was sweet as fuck. This being my first Witcher game I have no clue about half the shit that's going on but damn, can't wait to play over this week and the next.

You should at least play the Witcher 2 to have a vague idea of what's going on. :sherlock:

Not to mention some choices made in the Witcher 2 are fairly important.

I only have a laptop unfortunately, which has nowhere near the required hardware. And I have a PS3 and PS4 so no way to play it :(

Really? I have so far only encountered (stumbled upon would perhaps be more precise) the consequence of one decision I made in the Witcher 2.

And its insane how big those maps are - I have explored Velen for hours and maybe explored 40-50% (and that were the easier parts located by the roads).

I'm at 3, and one of those consequences was pretty noticeable. :sherlock:

I am not eloquent, especially not by the standards of this esteemed gathering of bastards, so it is difficult for me to convey just how hyped I am for this game.

To put it as best I can, if this download takes longer than four hours, I'm going to need to call my doctor.

Is there a way to set up decisions from the previous game like DA:I, or is there only a hard import if you played W2 on PC?

Yeah, you go through an "interrogation scene" where your answers set the decisions your character made in W2. No imported save file necessary. They needed this for all of the console players.
