I am trying my best to describe how I feel about the ff7 remake and the only thing I can say is that I can cut a diamond right now.

 

I do think it's kinda crazy to announce a kickstarter at your press conference so you can get your fans to pay to make the game and then potentially charge them up to $60 each to buy it. If they rely on kickstarter funds to make the game then I hope it's free for all PS players.

 

If you pay $60 you get a physical copy of the game. It's standard kickstarter rewards, you can pledge even less to get a digital copy. I'm just happy it's going to get made now!

Definitely the best conference. By far! Fuck Fallout. I was so jazzed even Blops3 looked awesome.

One teeny weeny little problem.

None of the first parties announced anything for 2015. Horizon (one of the highlights, most def) didn't even get a date!

There are a metric fucktonne of games already announced by third parties, more than I can probably play tbh. No P5 date either.

Xbox has the stronger holiday by far... But 2016 for Sony? It's just looking ridiculous.

(By the way, totally called last guardian and shenmue 3, totally seriously and not at all in jest. If HL3 gets announced too you may all worship at my altar for all time).

Last Guardian, Horizon, NMS and Blops3 (fkn weirdly) are my favs.

Obviously FF7 remake and Shenmue3 were biggest WTFOMFG moments.

Didn't they say FF7 was a console timed exclusive? So it's basically a Tomb Raider thing most likely and Sony will claim it.

Speaking of, TR HAS to either be delayed or brought out earlier. It'll get fucking buried under Fallout and Blops3 otherwise.

 

Shenmue 3 just went on Kickstarter today and has already gotten to 700,000$. The total goal of 2,000,000$ doesn't seem hard at all.

 

The new Metal Gear Solid V trailer seems to be continuing the trend of the last couple years in being the best-looking thing at E3.

 

I just backed Shenmue 3 for 29, lol. No mention of xbox on rewards despite Boyes saying it's not first party/ exclusive.

 

Metal Gear and Mass Effect, dear god I'm going broke.

So FF7 is allegedly not being developed internally - ofc, they've enough on their plate atm... - even though Nomura is directing it.

I heard Cyberconnect2 is doing it (rumours). A quick search reveals they're the ones who did the .hack and Naruto games. They've also already been rumored to be making next gen games.

On that note, a quote from their wiki:

"CyberConnect2 is currently working on three projects for current generation consoles. The first is a photo-realistic RPG targeted at the international market and is built using Unreal Engine 4 involving physics-based rendering."

FF15 is also being made using UE4.

We might get more info at SE's conference tomorrow.
