Vanilla Skyrim is at 3,75E at 75% off, but the Legendary Edition is at 10,19E at 66% off and also contains Dragonborn, Hearthfire and Dawnguard DLCs.

Are those DLC worth the extra 7 euro or should I stick to the vanilla game?

 

Honestly, Dawnguard and Dragonborn both have better questlines than the vanilla game. The only way they wouldn't be worth getting is if you wind up hating the game and never playing them. That's not even considering any mods that require them.

Yeah, the DLCs for Skyrim (sans Hearthfire) are really good. If you played Morrowind back in the day, then you'll especially like Dragonborn.

I could never play Skyrim without these DLCs nowadays, not least because they're required for a lot of great mods.

Get the Skyrim DLCs if only because most mods require them, and the legendary edition is cheaper than individual DLCs.

Just registered yesterday on steam and missed the Bioshock, Dishonered, Borderlands and The Witcher daily sales. Wanted to ask if it would be stupid if I buy them now or wait till the Christmas sales ( I have no real rush to play them have some other games I need to catch up to) because I don´t know if the franchises will come back with a 75% off.

Are the Christmas sales as good as the summer ones? Will they likely get as many good franchises and how many sales are there on steam?

 

Yes, they will definitely come back on sale. You likely won't even have to wait until Christmas.
Maybe they will even come back to that discount on the last day of this sale.

Pretty much every day something is on discount on Steam. On weekends it's often a whole franchise or sometimes even a publisher that is on sale.
If you don't want to check on it daily, you can put the games you are interested in on your wishlist and then you'll get a mail when they are discounted.

1. The last day of the summer sale will repeat some of the deals from the previous week, so you may be able to snap up one of the things you wanted, at the same discount.
2. Rarely should you ever buy a game you don't intend to play before the next big sale (although I'm totally guilty of doing it). Chances are, the price will be even lower by the time that next sale comes along. Buying a game at a higher price, only to let it sit there, is basically like throwing away money. Unless having a virtual game sit in a virtual library that you could play (if you activated it and spent hours downloading it) brings you some tremendous sense of satisfaction or security, it probably isn't worth paying extra for a game that's just going to sit, idle.
3. If you can, use the Enhanced Steam extension/plug-in/add-on for your browser. It makes it super easy to see the lowest price a particular game has ever sold for and when, and what the best current price on a game is.* And it does a whole slew of other things that will make your life and Steam shopping experience a lot easier.
4. Also, you can sign up with IsThereAnyDeal.com. They can sync with your Steam wishlist (and those of other sites'), and will send you emails telling you when the prices change. You'll get A LOT of emails from them during sales, but that's the (paltry) price you pay for being informed and saving money.

The discounts you get on games like Bioshock, Borderlands, and Dishonored, where the DLC gets discounted along with the game, during the big seasonal sales, is too good to just buy them at the regular price because you missed the sale...

...unless you really can't live without playing one of them in the next month or so.

Yeah... it took me about two weeks to download Wolfenstein: New Order. :facepalm Between the time involved and my lack of HD space, I haven't had the stomach to DL Max Payne 3, yet, despite having owned it for more than a year.

That's just another great thing about Terraria: When it updates on the 30th, I should have the whole thing downloaded in a matter of minutes (and the previous version backed up in a <100mb RAR).

 

That's a darn shame.

I've played it for a few hours (one or two... :awesome ) and really liked it. I'll admit, though, it's not for everyone.

 

Finally decided to pick up XCOM Enemy Unknown (as well as all the expansions).

 

And Long War?
(Well, that's more for Enemy Within, but still...)

 

+1'ing Long War, it's seriously good (if quite difficult). Play a classic game all the way through first before starting it though, it's quite difficult.

Also very easily modded though, it's all in the DefaultGameCore.ini
