He could pass on his Shadow Clone jutsu if his kids have high chakra stores. Even Kakashi made good use of them, and I think it was canon (not fanon) that his chakra capacity was average moreso than large.

But you're right in that Naruto's kids would never be able to use that jutsu like their father, because they don't have the massive chakra monster that is kyuubi within them.

Perversely, it appears that Sasuke will teach Kage Bunshin to Boruto (and apparently Chidori as well).

Also, there are a lot of things Naruto could have taught Boruto. By now, using Kage Bunshin to train, Naruto should have an ungodly level of skill in many ninja arts. Basically, the sky's the limit in terms of what Naruto could and should have learned by now.

Not quite. First, we're not talking about Sasuke vs Itachi. We're talking about your Itachi could beat anyone statement. Next, as I've said Sasuke had the stronger chakra so Itachi wasn't better in every way. Finally, Edo!Itachi wouldn't be hypothetical as he actually appears.

Okay, first order of business: The Boruto movie looks both good and bad. Good whenever Boruto isn't on the screen, bad whenever he is.

Secondly, Sechrima: You have no idea how much willpower it took not to tear you apart for using the Sasuke vs Itachi fight as an honest judge of where they stood in regards to skill and fighting ability. No. Fucking. Idea.
But yeah, don't say retarded shit like that. It upsets some people who actually bother reading the dialogue in between allt he cool explosions and ninja shit.

Boruto already knows the Shadow Clone Jutsu. He was using it in the Gaiden.

Rep: Yeah, fair enough. If Itachi had really been taking the fight seriously, I'm positive he would have ended it within a heartbeat with Tsukuyomi.

But because he was holding back, we did get an insight into some of Sasuke's strengths vs. Itachi's.

You could argue Itachi let Sasuke nail him in the leg with a Chidori-charged blade of a rigged windmill shuriken, but I doubt it. I'm pretty sure Sasuke just got the drop on Itachi there.

Then there was the Goukakyuu showdown. Sasuke was overwhelming Itachi. Maybe Itachi let him... but really, to what purpose? He immediately switched to Amaterasu to counter the Goukakyuu, which implies that Sasuke had the more powerful Katon jutsu.

And finally, Kirin. You can't deny this really surprised Itachi and would have killed him if not for Susanoo.

Ultimately, my point is that Itachi was using MS to endure a lot of Sasuke's attacks, and Sasuke only had a three-tomoe Sharingan. That speaks volumes about Sasuke's potential vs. Itachi's.

The way I see it, Sasuke's shurikenjutsu and ninjutsu were better than Itachi's. But assuming Itachi did take the fight seriously, none of that would have mattered in the least bit, since he would have won almost instantly during the genjutsu duel. He let Sasuke survive that encounter, obviously.

If you disagree with that analysis, then you're welcome to come at me.

There's plenty Naruto has to teach Boruto.

    Edit: To Sechrima.

To what purpose did Itachi let Sasuke beat on him? He didn't want to break Sasuke's fucking spirit by showing him how weak he was. He wanted to force Orochimaru out of Sasuke's body as well so he could seal it with that legendary sword he had.

It was Itachi's entire purpose to 1, lose that fight from the very beginning. Since he was already going in to lose, he wanted to lose in a way that Sasuke felt he had truly grown strong enough to match Itachi. Any other way would have broken Sasuke's spirit because he would have known he still was nothing compared to Itachi, but Itachi would have been dead so he would never have the opportunity again(lol Edo) to prove he was as good or better than Itachi.

Just think of a fixed boxing match. You don't have a fixed boxing match and have the person taking the fall completely dominate the other person only to take 1 tap and lose. You make it look even so people think its a close fight, when all along, the person taking the fall isn't even trying and is only trying to make it look like the fight is a close one.

Itachi was smarter, faster, and stronger than Sasuke was. Itachi was all of this when he was near-death from his illness. You're fucking insane if you seriously still think ANYTHING Sasuke could do prior to bs powerups during war was better than Itachi.

You're making it sound like Itachi had to use MS to defend against Sasuke. He used MS because otherwise, Sasuke would have been like WTF and realized Itachi wasn't even trying in their fight. The victory would have felt hollow, and he probably wouldn't have unlocked the MS at the end of the fight.

Itachi is basically superior to pre-Rinnegan Sasuke in every combat-related measure.

Mangekyou: Sasuke's usage of Amaterasu seems more precise than Itachi's (via Blaze release), but that's about it.

Sasuke has never been shown to be capable of using Tsukuyomi - even in situations where it would have guaranteed victory or saved him from death (vs Danzo, vs Bee).

And of course, Sasuke's Susanoo, even with his EMS, is nothing on Itachi's souped-up gaydar Storm God, which has a mirror which negates all attacks, a sword that seals anything, even Edos, and a ranged attack comparable to Bijuudamas.

Itachi could perform Izanami, the counter to the reality-warping hax of Izanagi.

A reasonable presumption is that Itachi could perform Izanagi too - since he knew about it, and there aren't any special requirements for its performance save for sacrificing your Sharingan.

Conclusion: Itachi's MS skills are a level beyond Sasuke's.

Genjutsu: Itachi is easily, and considerably, superior.

Ninjutsu: Sasuke seems to rely on a wider repertoire, but we have no conclusive evidence either way. There's the case of Itachi losing out in the Great Fireball contest, but given that he was A) dying of illness and B) jobbing anyway, there's really nothing to be inferred from it.

Taijutsu/Weapon skills: As Howdy as argued before, there probably isn't much difference in strength/speed/skill amongst the truly top tier Shinobi, unless they boost their physical abilities with certain jutsu (e.g. Sage Mode, Tsunade's enhanced strength, the Raikage's lightning armour). The Uchiha brothers seem pretty equal, but Itachi probably shades it, sicne he was matching Sasuke in hand-to-hand and kunai combat despite being half-blind and half-dead.

TLDR; there is a reason why Itachi, more so than any other Shinobi, was the bogeyman of the Ninja world. Realistically, pre- World War Arc, only Nagato and Obito could have stood a good chance against him (every other Kage-level combatant, especially the physical powerhouses like Jiraiya and the Raikage, are at a severe disadvantage given the Mangekyo's instant-activation abilities).

Itachi has flaws - failure to be an unparalleled murder-machine is not one of them.

Just more precise? lol. That precision makes it far more dangerous and useful. Shaping it into a sword or arrow basically makes it a lightsaber which he can fling fire from.

Tsukuyomi probably would have been broken by Bee regardless and Sasuke's already shown to be able to break it without MS. That being said Sasuke's genjuts is obviously very powerful even if not on Itachi's level.

Seems more like hype than substance. We've seen that shield counter one serious attack. That's assuming it blocked Kirin. The sword only seals what it pierces and Sasuke's Susanoo is tough enough to partially block the truth seeking balls. Sasuke's perfect Susanoo more than makes up for the lack of special weaponry.

Izanami and Izanagi aren't MS jutsu. They're sharingan kinjutsu.

For non-sharingan ninjutsu I'd have to give it to Sasuke. Itachi probably knew more but Sasuke had more power and he invented a series of jutsu including a S class one.

Itachi seemed to have the advantage in their taijutsu encounter but Sasuke's almost certainly gotten better since then and when he gets the sage powers. I wouldn't bet on Itachi beating EMS Sasuke in taijutsu.

The areas that Sasuke clearly takes the advantage over Itachi is power and stamina. Sasuke can fight at a scale beyond Itachi simply because he has so much more chakra. He was able to shatter Danzo's seal with his chakra alone. Itachi generally has more skill, is more knowledgeable, and is smarter but Sasuke's raw power puts him on another tier.

Itachi wasn't the bogeyman of the ninja world. If anybody was then it was Madara. Itachi actually seemed to get underestimated a lot(Asuma and Kurenai of all people challenged him). Guy, Oonoki, Kisame, and Gaara would have also given Itachi a serious run for his money.

When they called it a mini-series, they weren’t kidding as it’s almost over as soon as it started! The Naruto spinoff manga that we’ve all been enjoying since April of this year, Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, is coming to an end officially on July 6th. In other words, there will only have been 10 chapters in this series, with the next chapter as its the last. ANN reports the news comes from the 31st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and it teases “What is the dream that Sarada has obtained now that she has passed her graduation exam!?” for the final chapter, which will also include a center colored page.

Shuiesha has created a listing for the Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring manga volume, presumed to include all chapters, with a sale date of August 4th in Japan.

This has been a terrible side story. 10 chapters of Dr. Suess' "Are You My Mother" Naruto style. Oh well. I guess I'll just pretend this part of Naruto never happened.

Dunno, man. I liked everything didn't include Sarada, Chouchou and Boruto. Seeing everyone grown up and with their place in the world was nice.

I can agree with that, but wasn't that mostly shown in chapter 700? I think this would have been much better if we had gotten a peak at how the rest of the world was doing post epilogue.

Supposedly there's rumors Kishi will be working on a new project. Whether it'll be a Naruto Part 3 after the Boruto Movie or a new IP is yet to be seen.

Should start to hear more info around August.

Oh look, more copouts where Sasuke doesn't have to pay for the consequences of his decisions.

    Not even surprised.

Edit because I finally watched the trailer linked above:

How appropriate that Boruto would choose Sasuke as his mentor. There's no greater teacher if one wishes to follow the path of the Emo Traitor than Uchiha Sasuke, Lord of Angsty Betrayals.

Wait, it's over? So this was more of a long epilogue than actually part two? Or am I missing something? Though if there's a new movie, and god knows what else, the Naruto stuff could be pumped out for a while yet...

It was just meant to be a short spin-off series.
