Are there any good crossovers using the Defense professor as the device? I just read this little one-shot and enjoyed it but I don't know if the idea would carry a full story.

 

Didn't Tonks have a major role as well? I'll look for the link.

 

Did anyone ever write an HP story involving aliens (Crossover or otherwise) who can use Magic, or at least something we can view as a form of HP Magic?

 

I think most of the time they'll explain the magic as being technology so advanced it resembles magic (aka arc reactor or Asgard tech in Marvel or the Force in SW).

 

Anyone know of a decent fic where the muggles fight the wizarding world, or wizards rule the muggle world?

I breifly entertained the thought of a HP/XCOM corssover. Saying the psyonics of the aliens is basicly magic ect.

But there are just too many problems with it too actualy plan out any kind of a story.

 

This is one of those things that sounds good in theory, but would doubtlessly become such an original fiction by the end that you might as well leave Harry out of it so you can try to get it published. Just make it about some other boy/teenage wizard, that way you can shape his personality past the noble, selfless, death-destined orphan.

Then you won't need a bunch of shit explaining how Harry ended up somewhere else and you'll actually be able to construct anything you want. You could just use the source material of HP and XCOM as a basic template.

 

I don't remember much, only that Harry and his friends created an illustrated booklet to replace Scrimgeour's and sent it to the Ministry.

I found it, with the help of Jibril. Lukaskr, I bumped you because you wanted to know even if I only found it in Polish. Well, it turns out it's originally from the Polish HP fandom, written in, holy shit, 2004. I read it a decade ago. I'm 22, it's really weird to think about having done things ten years ago.

I'm reading it and details are gradually coming back to me. And exactly like I remembered, it's oozing angst. I'm gonna need alcohol, because this is going to some trip.

 

Looking for the good stories with Harry Potter moving to Marvel universe or DC universe without joining a superhero team.
The only exception is if the team is created by Harry himself.

Well, if you want more words than you can shake a stick at, the 'Harry forms a team of his own' thing is done by A Third Path to the Future.

I currently can't think of any other long/good Marvel stories that don't revolve around either the X-Men or Avengers. Perhaps my brain is on the fritz.

DC, well if you're up to the task then you can always try Megamatt if you're the brave sort (who really wants to read curiously unsexy smut between Harry and every single alternate universe version of Supergirl).

Otherwise there's Harry Potter and the Ascension of Ra, Harry Potter and the Rise of Emrys or Mr Potter Goes to Smallville. They're all actually Smallville crossovers but that's nearly good enough, right?

 

Steelbadger, why would you recommend anyone that last one? Especially given the horrible unsatisfying conclusion of matters between Harry and Ginny.

 

Oh, yeah, I meant to mention that actually. Holy shit that story pissed me off. But it still exists and it didn't make my eyes bleed. Mostly.

A few days ago I was reading a story where (for some reason) Harry and Hermoine end up in Slytherin.

One scene in particular grabbed me:

Where Pansy calls Hermoine a Mudblood and makes fun of her, then Harry responds by saying 'You shouldn't be talking about ancestry - your mom slept with so many men you don't even know who your real dad is!' and Pansy starts crying and runs off.

I was super busy with work and forgot the title - if anyone knows, I'd appreciate a reminder.
