Im 25 hours in and loving every minute of it.

People say the battle system is totally different but its not. Its different yet the same. If you just put the option to WAIT then it almost feels like turn based but with better stragety depending on weapons you give your guys.

Voice acting is a hundred times better than 10. I don't think the actors took the voice acting seriosuly before but now.... it actully seems like the characters are using their real voices.

The leveling system is a step or two better then 10 but still annoying. If they opened up the squares it would be better but since i bought the collecters edition i got the stragety guide too, whch has abig map of the leveling table with everything open. I would reccomend the book because of the secrets you might mess up without them. Like in the beggining theres a couple of chests through out the game your not supposed to open if you want to get the strongest weapon available later on.

The story is magnifecent so far. Even though it focus' more on the politics it's kind of refreshing that the story is more about war and politics instead of the usual about a gourp of people trying to save the world from some supreme evil doer(although this might change since im not really all that far in since i focused more on leveling up). The character development isn't what i'm used to but you still get a feel about each of them.

Quickenings(Mists) are a must for any boss battle. And hard to uderstand since they never explained really how to use them in the game. Even though my stragety book explained it i had to practice with it to get used to it but once you do quickenings can decide the entire battle.

    Overall 9.5/10

Got to love being on of the few people in Australia to already have it :D So far am really enjoying it. I like the new combat system but I find it to slow in terms of the amount of time it takes to charge your attack bar. The gambit system is also really helpful. Graphics are awesome, not sure if the storyline is up to par with some of them. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I find the story to be highly confusing...more so than any other FF game.

Meh, it felt flat to me. I finished it and was like "wait, that's it? It's over?" The story never really hooked me the way FFX did, and it didn't feel as epic as most FFs are. Also, the new battle system was interesting, but it really made magic and espers impractical IMO. All in all, I'd have to say I enjoyed FFX a lot more.

I liked it too. At the begging of the game the battle system didn’t really impress me, but after getting more characters it was very satisfying. Setting up the AI of your party with the gambit system was a bit confusing at first but it was pleasurable watching your characters beat up opponents with creative combinations.

FFX was a powerhouse yes but the voice acting killed it for me. Magic has been getting kinda useless since FF8 until FFX when it came back into style... kinda.

I agree with the magic. Cure is really the only i ever use and Mists but still overall i think it was good experience although i pray they get the leveling system right on the next try.

I see FF12 more as a first step in the right direction but still a great step.

Most bosses can be taken down with a good mist chain with level 2 or 3 quickenings. I usually start out boss fights with 2 people with level 3 quickenings then try and get a 12 mist chain, then swap out and repeat.
