There is, but there's also the possibility Mathblade chose Jan because he said he'd be sleeping.

The only definate is if he claims cop

 

Frankly, I think the only two reasons Jan is nominated is:

1) Math doesn't expect him to show before deadline.

or

2) Jan is Math's scummate who "confirms" he cop

Looks like a no-lose scenario for Math, as either way, the cop gets lynched, TMNT & Pozzai are souped and another town is NK'd
