Fullmetal Alchemist/Avatar the Last Airbender AU

Trying to contemplate how to merge the two at the moment but hovering between conflicts between Benders and Alchemists, philosophical differences formed in the practitioners of the two ideologies constantly being at war. Or Father heading the Fire Nation under the guise of the Avatar whilst Aang is emcapsulated in Ice for 100 years, leading the war in order to create one giant Philosophers Stone tnhrough the mass of human lives.

Whilst Edward Elric is a young Commander within the Fire Nation Army, an Alchemist who comes upon Aang in his conquest of the Water Tribes and has his allegiance tested.

 

This less than bare bones and largely follows the DC Zero storyline with an average OC getting handed a ticket to the world of crazy.

I don't why, but I would love to see the Venom symbiote (Marvel) in a teen living in Gotham.
The symbiote tries to feed of his adrenalin and makes the OC do dangerous stuff and leaves him utterly exhausted without any idea what is happening. All the while Gotham is corrupting the symbiote and the OC starts to notice it.

That's it basically. Venom in Gotham.

 

Worldwar: In the Balance / James Cameron's Avatar

The Race probe discovers Pandora instead of Earth and the Empire decides to conquer these blue-skinned savages sometime around the year 1942.

However, the insane difficulty in conquering the place, the utterly alien ecosystem including the bio-neural network as well as the physics-defying Unobtainium force the Empire of the Race to adapt and evolve faster as a society.

By the time humans discover Pandora in 2077, they find it much more reptilian than they expected.


The fic would focus almost entirely on the Race characters and their viewpoints about Pandora as well as the changes it forces in the Race.

 

Just an idea I've been toying with, Star Wars EU / Familiar of Zero crossover, with Jacen Solo being summoned.

In particular, at the moment in The Unifying Force (NJO) where Jacen faces off against Omini and becomes one with the Force, he destroys Onimi and disappears in a flash of light. At the same time, he's summoned to be Louise's familiar.

One important bit here is that Jacen alone comes - he doesn't get his lightsaber or anything like that, although he obviously has access to the Force. And in addition, since this isn't Jacen after five years of studying across the galaxy, he doesn't have access to all of his hax Force powers like flowwalking, teleportation, and so forth. As such, the world he finds himself in should still provide a challenge for him.

In addition, the "Void element" in the FoZ-verse could serve as a stand-in for the Unifying Force as Jacen knows it, and in an inversion of the summoner - familiar role, Jacen can serve as an instructor for Louise's burgeoning potential with the Force.

Attempt at Sharingan!Naruto that isn't shit

So I was posting in the rec thread a point about the problem with most bloodline Naruto fics, and it became something else instead as I posted it.

After actually posting it I figured it belonged here instead, and it turns out I (and a few other people) actually quite liked the idea anyway. Hence I'm actually going to attempt to turn it into an actual story, but I'm posting it here anyway in case anyone else likes the premise and wants to use it (or bits of it) themselves. Since with my current free time and my personal track record with non work projects, it's not hugely likely to reach fruition any time soon (or ever). Well, you could also tell me whether it's shit or not or make suggestions in improving the concept I guess.

 

I think I might have to do that. I've been working on a Stargate idea fora while that I might as well post.

 

Star Wars fanfic: Plot bunny is simple, but has pretty dramatic consequences. Luke misses the shot on the first Death Star. Yavin IV gets blown up, killing off Leia, C-3PO, and several high-ranking Rebel Alliance members. Luke escapes into hyperspace with Han.

(I know that there was a comic that dealt with this plot point, but I disliked how it was executed)

The Rebel Alliance would suffer a pretty massive blow obviously, and the Empire would be left in an incredibly strong position, with the Death Star intact. I imagine the fic could involve Luke getting involved with Han's activities trying to pay off Jabba the Hutt, while simultaneously trying to advance his Jedi abilities and also trying to figure out a way to help the remnants of the Rebel Alliance.

 

Wheel of Time.

The Dragon Reborn does go mad atop Dragonmount(circa book 10 I think? His brief crisis, preparing to immolate like Lews Therin had before him) and funnels the world's largest bar of Balefire through a gateway into the entire island of Tar Valon, obliterating the majority of the Aes Sedai in existence. The sheer amount of lives and events burned out of the pattern by this act finally breaks the Wheel.

What sort of fluctuations would happen? Would Rand have burned himself out in the process? Would the Seanchan mount some kind of swifter march/invasion attempt, and fill the void? How do the remaining Forsaken respond, let alone Rand's own allies and friends? I was thinking of it being something like when Dresden erased the Red Court overnight, only Rand has a lot more responsibility and power to act with.

 

Well, the most likely result is that the Dark One wins and remakes the world in his image.

 

After the Mass Effect Arrival DLC The Council fabricates evidence that directly leads to Shepard being sentenced to death. He's broken out of his cell before his death by either Garrus, Miranda (ME2 Romance) or Cerberus and from there has to prepare for the Reaper War with a tattered reputation and a Galaxy on the hunt for his head.

 

Why would he be sentenced to death though? What would he be implicated in?

 

Killing a few hundred thousand Batarians? You know, the same reason he was on trial and likely about to be handed to the Hegemony at the beginning of ME3?

From canon, literally all you need to do for that scenario is have Shepard's trial happen a couple months earlier.

That said, it probably wouldn't change a whole lot, in the grand scheme of things. People wouldn't exactly be eager to put one their greatest war heroes to death during an existential crisis.

 

Ah yes. Had to admit, that event slipped my mind. I confused the Arrival and Overlord DLC.

Didn't seem like the Council cared much at the time though, it felt more like it was something strictly between the SA and the Hegemony.
