I really enjoy Crash Course videos (though for a channel that likes to talk about "complexity" it tends to be simplified material). I cannot recommend Every Frame a Painting more. It has a great editing style and I pretty much enjoy every video that's produced.

CGP Grey - an educational youtube channel made by an American expat in Britain that focuses on voting systems, borders, and a few other subjects in between.

Cooking with Dog - a Japanese cooking show with a dog mascot named Francis. It's great.

Scott Manley - a Kerbal Space Program let's player who has, I believe, an astronomy background. Is incredibly knowledgable about the subject matter and is also pretty fun.

I'm also subscribed to CGP Grey's "Hello Internet" partner Brady Haran's computerphile and numberphile channels. Computerphile does videos on a lot of early computers, encryption, code breaking, and all sorts of interesting computer-related topics. Numberphile is about math.

I'm also subscribed to spotv, the South Korean sports channel that has Korean Baseball League games on it (my cousin's husband is a pitcher for the SK Wyverns). American baseball needs to relax on bat-flipping, because it is goddamn cool.

I watch Tabletop, Ashes of Valkana (which is an awesome Tabletop RPG show) and Critical Role (another awesome show).

Arguably the two most enjoyable channels on YouTube for me.

The only other one I'm subscribed to is Matt Lees who is legitimately awesome.

He's part of Shut Up & Sit Down which, while not a youtube channel, is a Vimeo/Website video series that's significantly awesome if you're into board games.

    Great rec, thank!

If you like that, you should watch Critical Role and Roll Play, similar shows with different vibes on the whole roleplaying thing. Critical Role has a whole bunch of legit voice actors, including Matt Mercer (from just about every videogame/animated series in the last 5 years). And RollPlay does the same thing, but with a variety of videogaming related youtubers personalities, if that's your thing.

I don't subscribe to many channels. I'll call it laziness.

The Dice Tower: Reviews of and discussions on traditional games. Their "top 10" lists can be as informative as they are amusing.

SciShow: Science stuff. I used to watch every video as soon as it came out, but I haven't actually watched any of them in ages.

    Black Nerd Comedy
: He's a nerd (or so he says), he's black (or so he says), and I occasionally watch his Ninja Turtles videos.

Mr. Sunday Movies: Movie and comic book stuff. I mainly listen to his podcasts.

Alex Dahl: Just where I usually get my episodes of QI.

I'm subscribed to a few others, but they've either already been listed or have been inactive for a long time. :fire

I used to be subscribed to acksonl, for his cosplay music videos, but he closed his channel and deleted all his videos a while back.

I watch a lot of Youtube. I catch 95% of the videos of the 50 channels I subscribe to so I'll just list my favorites that haven't already been mentioned.

PBS Space Time - Awesome physics videos for the layman.

In Nutshell (Kurzgesagt) - Explanation videos (with great animations) about a vast number of things from dark energy to banking to the Fermi Paradox.

Mike Diva - Random hilarious insanity. Like this.

Veritasium - Cool science videos. His new stuff is a lot better than his older stuff imo.

BriTANiKdotcom - A bunch of hilarious sketches. Unfortunately they haven't uploaded anything in a while but pretty much all their videos are funny as hell.

    ComicPoP!
A pretty decent channel with information regarding everything comics. I mostly watch it because of Back Issues, a series where an avid comic reader explains famous storylines in comics to two non-comic readers. The main guy also does a weekly podcast with a couple other YouTubers.

    Chris Stuckman
My go to guy for a good and, mostly, impartial review of every new movie on screen. He occasionally reviews video games as well but I mostly watch it because of the movie reviews.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
Amazing Daily Show-esque show on HBO. It posts the 'Topic of the Day' once a wee regarding many issues.

    Pretty Much It
Don't know much about these guys but I like their weekly show with movie, video game and tv news.

    Red vs Blue
    Enough said.

    The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows
A channel fully developed to upload invented words to describe those feelings that cannot be put into words. In their own words:
"The author's mission is to capture the aches, demons, vibes, joys and urges that roam the wilderness of the psychological interior. Each sorrow is bagged, tagged and tranquilized, then released gently back into the subconscious."

    General Gaming
    • Total Biscuit - [Link] - Game critique and commentary. I love this man's voice, and you should too.

    • Many A True Nerd - [Link] - Your average Joe let's player, but I really rather like MATN's stuff. I find myself laughing a great deal at his reactions to things - just generally very fun videos.

    Music
    • Pogo - [Link] - Interesting, generally relaxing, mash-up songs using samples from movies and games. You probably know Pogo from [Alohamora], which I don't actually like very much. A favourite: [Alice] Another Harry Potter mix: [Hermione Mix]

    • Dan Bull - [Link] - Gaming rap. I don't watch too many of Dan's videos, but they're usually really quite good. Absolute favourite: [Skyrim Epic Rap]

    • Swede Mason - [Link] - More weirdly awesome mashup music. You might know Swede Mason; he's the guy behind [Masterchef Synesthesia] and [Jeremy Clarkson Beatbox]. I actually like a lot of his stuff... probably because I have some sort of compulsion to seek out the strangest music I can find. I think my favourite might be [Waiting]

    Hearthstone
    • Disguised Toast - [Link] - Heh. Disguised toast. Extremely new channel wherein a piece of toast with sunglasses makes amazing hearthstone videos. Incredible quality of content, very fun to watch - even if you're not big into hearthstone.

    Minecraft
    • EthosLab - [Link] - Very possibly the best minecraft youtuber out there. Engaging, interesting content, very good builder and excellent technical skills. Etho and Tango are the only youtubers I watch without doing something else at the same time. Hop into the most recent episodes of Etho's [Let's Play] vanilla series, or watch all of his amazing singleplayer [Modded] series, or even his [multiplayer vanilla] series, in which he builds a dwarven base.

    • TangoTek - [Link] - Not quite on the same level as Etho, but my second favourite minecraft let's player. Tango is engaging, does some really interesting things, and is an excellent technical builder. This is the guy behind the Iron Titan and the Iron Foundry. Check out his newest videos, where he starts work on a giant nether base: [Ep44] then [Ep49] and onwards.
    • Or check out [Breaking Bytes], the series where he makes a new terrifying mod each episode. In that one, he puts 100 heads on a wither.

    • SethBling - [Link] - Incredible guy. Just about every video he makes is awesome, in particular the minecraft contraptions, because Seth is the god of command blocks. Very hard to pick out any in particular, but how about the [Typewriter] or that time he made [Splatoon]? Those are just from recently. Go through his videos - it's all gold.

    • ImpulseSV - [Link] - Impulse is next up on my list of great let's players. Engaging guy, fun content... a recent favourite is [Ghastly Furniture], following the trials and tribulations of two men hanging a ghast from the ceiling.

    • BDoubleO100 - [Link] - Longtime favourite of mine, but hasn't been doing many minecraft videos lately. I've never had more fun following a series than [Attack of the B-Team]. BDubs is a fantastic builder - probably my favourite builder, even!

    • GenerikB - [Link] - Can't mention BDubs without the partner in crime Genny in there. I greatly enjoy GenerikB's Attack of the B-Team videos as well, but when it comes to playing non-minecraft games I like watching GenerikB more than BDoubleO. He does a lot of series on a lot of games and they're typically quite relaxing.

    • Sjin - [Link] - The best of the Yogscast crew. Some of his videos are a little hit and miss, but usually the series he makes on his own are quite engaging. One of my favourite series was [Feed The World], and his building series are very well-done with great timelapses - [Let's Build Erebor]

There's also some lame-o called Palindrome who makes minecraft videos, I guess. I wouldn't watch them if I were you. I hear she's going to be getting back into posting new content soon...

This is actually a good opportunity to weed out my youtube subscription list.

    In no particular order:

Paperblossom for her anime and video game music covers. Her German version of Let it Go, German cover for Magia, Faced by Faith and Bauklötze are especially gorgeous.

    Confused Matthew for movie reviews.

Crash Course for their mini series on various topics, such as Crash Course History

    Gigguk for his anime reviews

Preston Jacobs for his ASOIAF theories. Probably the channel whose updates I await most eagerly.

Tom Scott for his Things You Might Not Have Known videos

ThePrimeChorus for good orchestral music and soundtracks.

    The Know
    for gaming news

I just finished watching all of Critical Role (thanks to the rec here. I had no idea that there are 20+ episodes on the actual G&S website). It's about a million times better than Titansgrave, but that being said, does anyone else know of any sessions uploaded like this that are even half as good? The couple I found seemed to be mostly a lot of awkward neckbeards.
