I'm looking for a fic set in a sort-of medieval AU where most Muggles are second-class citizens. Vernon's an unusually respected miner or smith, I think.

Harry's just a stablehand, but after it's revealed that he's actually a wizard, he's chased on horseback and inadvertently Calls Lightning at one point. I think it was abandoned after a few chapters, and it was posted here, but I can't remember the title and haven't been able to find anything like it. Does anyone recognise this?

 

Would anyone have a copy of Backfire by brainchild? She deleted all her stories. I sent a PM to ask for a copy but since she deleted everything a year ago I don't have much hope.

So maybe someone already has it?

I'm looking for stories along the same vein as Out of the Night and On the Wings of a Phoenix (again. I've done this search before, I'm sure). It's hard to believe that Out of the Night is over 5 years old now, but surely similar stories have popped up (ignoring various adoptions of it) since then.

What this means, is that I'm looking for stories that heavily involve wizard culture and traditions. Perhaps politics are involved, perhaps it embraces the dark-but-not-evil trope that used to be popular. Either way, I'm looking for stories that feature Harry learning that there is more to the world than what meets the eye.

Also, I've read most of the popular and well known fics of yore, so don't bother recommending stuff like Prince of the Dark Kingdom.

Also, not interested in heavy bashing, slash, harems, inheritances, soul bonds, other stupid shit like that.

Anarchy, I've lately came across this fic called Unbecoming. The plot isn't that great, but it has some interesting, alternative takes on wizarding culture and magic in general.

 

I'm looking for a specific fic with Dark!Harry and Harry/Tom-Riddle's-Ghost. Harry can see Tom Riddle's spirit and he is influenced to go dark. He kills Dumbledore and flees the burrow. Snape is supposed to be dead because Harry did something that made him incapable of carrying out his Vow. Harry steals a dead girls corpse and Tom takes over her body. Harry has to go into hiding because it is announced that he is a necromancer. In the last chapter I read Harry was disguised as an old guy and was talking to Aberforth.

It was ongoing the last time I read it (a few months ago).

 

Does anyone know any serious Harry/Molly Weasley stories? I'm rather morbidly curious.

I'm looking for a story that I'm pretty sure is a wrong boy who lived fic in which Harry runs away from his parents house and is adopted by the greengrass family. Also the greengrass family also has Hannah as daughter for a reason I can't remember

Not really interested in PWP. Those are readily available on AO3 , with added tags like 'incest' and 'Lactation kink'. Definitely not what I'm looking for.

There was a fic back in 2006, which was Harry/Molly where Harry Potter is Arthur Weasley. Basically Harry went back in time and got adopted into the Weasley clan. It went into all sorts of shenanigans to explain that stuff, but it got deleted after OotP came out.

 

I don't suppose there are any good Arthur/Molly stories? Canon compliant or otherwise?

For some reason, I feel like reading about Molly Weasley, and fanfiction is very disappointing in general when it comes to Molly.

 

I know this is probably going to sound ridiculous, but I remember a story where Arthur was called "The Ghost". Anyone know of any stories that were good with him being something similar? Or maybe some of them with him being called The Ghost?
