    Mods are available, right?

    1. Fallout 3/New Vegas
I personally prefer New Vegas because of how interesting the DLC's were. Honest Hearts and Lonesome Road are one of the best add ons I have paid for. Fallout 3 was my first Bethesda game though.

    2. Skyrim
The game's Radiant AI had a significant improvement from it's predecessor that made it feel a bit more organic. I'm a sucker for anything fantasy and as I have not played the DLC, I believe it made for a good experience. And, well, because of mods.

    3. Mass Effect Trilogy (if one, Mass Effect 2)
I'm not even gonna talk about that ending. But, even then, I have to admit it was a pretty solid game. Nice combat mechanics and great build up (I have my own headcannon so it still is amazing) for one of the best RPG that I have ever played. Mass Effect was leap and bounds better than its predecessor and the amazing cast of characters gives some replay value.

    4. The Witcher 3
I'm a huge RPG fan and, while I haven't even played it, I would give all my games just to have it. I love the world that Sapkowski created and while he is in no direct contact with CD PROJEKT RED the developers have made a fateful and enriching adaptation of Geralts world. A completionist time of around 170 hours really hypes it up for me.

    5. Cities XL or Civilization V
    Divided between management and RTS.

Is it cheating to give Warband as an answer? There are so many excellent mods for that game that one could very well play it and not feel the need to play anything else.

I like my RTS and Tile based movement games. Also The Long Dark is fantastic and I'd like to become good at it. Finite resources survival is awesome.

    1. Alpha Centauri

    2. Zeus + Poseidon / SimCity 4; undecided between the two, I just want a city builder game.

    3. Gothic 2 + NotR

    4. Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory

    5. Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance

    1. Witcher 3 -I consider this the best roleplaying game I have ever played.

    2. Bunny Must Die - Obligatory Platformer/Metroidvania. It would also be fun to speedrun.

    3. Terraria/Minecraft/Starbound -One of those, if only for the creative-ish element.

    4. KoF -I might as well learn a fighter if I'm limited to five games.

    5. Final Fantasy Tactics - For when I want to take things slow/get drunk.

I feel bad leaving out any kind of shooter, but I honestly can't think of one with high enough replay value when playing alone to bother. Borderlands 2 almost works, but it comes up short for single player.

Honorable mention goes to Souls titles. The problem is I've played them too much. Without some kind of PVP I'd get bored quick.

A lot of these answers don't seem that well thought out, lol. Especially with RPGs...

    1. Puyo Puyo Tetris
    2. No Man's Sky (if it ships broken, Elite: Dangerous)
    3. Street Fighter (debatable, not sure about non pvp fighting game)
    4. Civ
    5. Pac-man 256

    1. Minecraft. The unlimited gameplay would last forever.
    2. Skullgirls. Requires no explanation.
    3. Skyrim. Haven't played it, but it supposedly has loads of content.
    4. Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Because it's a GTA game that doesn't feature Liberty City or San Andreas.
    5. Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Just because.

    Re: picking solo RPGs.

I understand that they're pretty low on replayability, but if I'm only picking 5 games for the rest of my life, I'm not going to not have Mass Effect and a few others in there. Like, it would be worth sacrificing a slot that I'd end up playing more often for the benefit of being able to replay ME every couple years.
