Spellfire clashed into the night, bursts of green and red and purple flashing and sparking, arcing and lancing, bringing more brilliant light into a dark night than the fullest moon and shining stars ever could. As a duellist, the self-styled Dark Lord Voldemort was quicker and more vicious, each curse and hex escalating in severity of possible damage and sheer strength, matched only by shield charms and deflection jinxes of his opponent, the grizzled Auror Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody.

Now, Moody was as grizzled as could be, the type who was already a veteran with scars ruining his face barely two days into his training, and was bossing around his superiors through force of characteristic harshness by day three. But in the face of a prodigy, a charismatic master of magic most foul and most awe-inspiring as it was fear-inducing, a man more monster than wizard and who sent innocents Disapparating in fear dare they utter his name, Moody was surely destined to be another on a long list of dead war heroes, or, should history favour Voldemort, an annoyance long forgotten.

So, facing certain death, Moody had two options: go down in spectacular fashion, or run like so many others.

He chose the former.

"Voldemort," growled Moody, "Let's face it." Voldemort's wand ceased its spell slinging, eager to hear what he no doubt thought to be a surrender. "And I'm not being funny," added Moody. "I mean all disrespect when I say, just to be clear, that you're a cunt. You're a cunt now, and you've always been a cunt. And the only thing that's going to change from now is that you're going to be an even bigger cunt. Maybe make some more cunt Horcruxes."

Voldemort's eyes flashed dangerously. "Leave my Horcruxes fucking out of it!" he snapped. "What have they done? You fucking retract that bit about my cunt fucking Horcruxes."

Moody sighed moodily. "I retract that bit about your cunt fucking Horcruxes."

"Insult my fucking Horcruxes?" said Voldemort, violently violet sparks shooting out of his wand. "No true wizard would go that far."

"I retracted it, didn't I?" Moody blinked his one remaining eye, perhaps realising that Voldemort was being a pillock about the whole thing, and spat on the ground. "Nah, fuck it. I retract my retraction. You cunt."

And when the long list of dead war heroes was released in the days following Voldemort's downfall, it can safely be said that while Alastor Moody's name had started lower on the list due to it being listed in chronological order, the power of magic rewarded him enough to move him to the top and in much larger letters than anyone else's. Curiously, every magical history book also updated to change the name Lord Voldemort to the Cunt Lord Voldemort Cuntington.

No one complained about the change.

 

Percy Jackson crossovers that don't:

1. Turn Harry inexplicably gay.
2. Fem!Harry.
3. TriGodWizard Tournament.
4. Demigods go to Hogwarts. (Seriously, enough).
5. Don't make Lily and/or James irrelevant if Harry's one of those demigod types that have a "god banged a mortal" angle (and not either three parents, "brain children", or other creation method).

 

Amen to that. I actually created my own little Plot-Bunny with the Crossover, but thanks to my chronic laziness and horrible writing I doubt it will ever see the light of day.

 

I don't really have any interest in Percy Jackson, even when it's mixed with HP... however, these are all very good reasons why I wouldn't bother to click on a HP/PJ crossover, even just to give it a shot.

And, maybe it's just me, but there's almost no property out there that will produce a good story, when you take its characters and have them teach at/attend Hogwarts (even comedic one-shots rarely make the "X character teaches DADA" thing palatable).

I feel like you could make almost any crossover work if you really tried, but the minute those characters start learning/teaching at Hogwarts, you'd might as well drop the story and do something more worthwhile with your time, like constructing retirement villages for mayflies, or designing bicycles for fish.

The minute those characters step through the school's gates, they lose whatever made you like them in the first place, Hogwarts loses most of its magic, and the story loses any chance at approaching even a sliver of mediocrity.

There's nothing quite like the disappointment of finding out someone has started writing a rare HP/Whatever crossover that you've been hoping for, and then reading those dreaded words "...and they go to Hogwarts."

Oh, they do? Remind me why I like Bleach, because I suddenly can't remember. Teen Titans? Teen what? LoTR characters attending Hogwarts? So, they've finally found a way to make that shota infantilist elfling!Harry wank look less abominable by comparison, you say?

I got the idea of crossover after watching The Blood of Heroes (movie also known as Salute to the Jugger).
In the future, the pureblood's hold over the Wizardling World only tightened after the muggle world faced the Last World War. The purebloods live in the comfortable enclaves protected by the powerful wards, while the barely-educated muggleborns are forced to live in the barren world.
Live everything in the future, Quidditch is much more bloody and dangerous. For example, the Bludgers are spiked and the Beaters are allowed to use bats against the other players. But Quidditch is the only way for the to advance and claim his place in the pureblood world and live in luxury...

 

I was browsing through Wiki and accidentally learned about the existence of W.A.N.D. (The Wizardly Alchemy Necromancy Department), a division within S.H.I.E.L.D. that specialized in dealing with magic-related issues.
I'll say the existence of W.A.N.D. can be the base of the numerous crossovers (HP/Avengers, HP/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., you name it).

An interesting crossover for me would HP/The Almighty Johnsons. The premise of the show is that people with old Norse blood on their 21st birthday inherit the spirt of one of the old Norse gods. They also inherit powers of the gods but it is t some dumb shit where they immediately understand how to use it.

Anyway back on topic I think it would be cool to see the story of Harry inheriting an old Celtic gods power

( in canon of tv show they have already referenced and even shown other pantheons multiple times.)

Would be cool to say the least.

I want a LoTR crossover where either the rings or Gandalf wind up in the HP world. Hell, I want a fic where Dumbledore finds the ring of power. Over time leading a (losing) resistance against Voldemort and having the ring would corrupt Dumbledore and force him to compromise some of his morals and act more ruthlessly to win the war. Not to mention the new powers he'd have. Imagine Dumbledore doing whatever it takes to beat Voldemort and slowly becoming a truly evil dark lord himself in the process.

 

An Evil Dumbledore who actually manages to keep his intellect and power? That sounds awesome.

 

I wouldn't mind reading a good Harry Potter/Warcraft story. I wish there were more good Warcraft crossovers.

 

Harry/Rosario Vampire. There are none worth reading currently.

 

Oddly enough, I've never seen one of those. Tons of Naruto/R+V but never HP. Of course, I never went looking for them.

 

If I remember right there are less than 20 of them and none are decently written I'm not even sure they are complete.

2E lore would be preferable, but really I'd take anything I could get.

 

Was looking into some HP/AoT stories, mainly cause shifting through the shit that is AoT's fandom leaves you drowning in LeviXEren fics. You know, forget the HP part, I'll take any good AoT story I can get.

 

HP crossovers with:


Aveyond - I'd like to see Harry appear there at the beginning of Lord of Twilight. Perhaps either in Ghed'ahre due to Master of Death stuff or maybe in Witchwood where he has to deal with the local Witches and Warlocks.

Tibia - A story in which Harry is accidentally summoned to the towers od Edron by Spectulus and becomes his apprentice/test subject would be just awesome.

Half-Life - Fusion with HP in which the Vortigaunts and the Combine are magical instead of a technological. In 2003 the Black Mesa incident causes them discover and invade Earth which in turn reveals the wizarding society. Now humanity relies on wizards to defend them from this interdimensional threat.

 

That would be cool. Hogwarts as a horizon chantry that teaches magic to awakened.

It would be hermetic tradition most likely or perhaps a cross tradition one.
