Two scenes ever get the hair on my neck to stand up.

One is the crowning achievement of Star Trek the Next Generation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvNn_vJy0BM

The second is the moment in the Two Towers when Aragorn shoves open the door to the throne room at Helm's Deep... I get just a little gay every time I see it.

Scrubs. Season 3, when Ben Sullivan dies... yeah, gets me every time. There's a similar, but not quite as powerful moment when Laverne dies in a later season.

When Book is killed in Serenity. Then shortly after, Wash as well. Fuck, I've seen it 50 times and it still gets me.

Just last night on Late Night with Stephen Colbert: Joe Biden talking about his recently deceased son Beau.

What @Definitely Not Taure and @ScottPress said about the LotR trilogy and those exact moments. Adding to that chorus:

    • Gandalf lights up what is implied to be the Twenty-First hall. The music makes that scene so, so awesome.
    • The last march of the ents.
    • "Where is the Horse and the Rider. Where is the horn that was blowing."
    • Related: the overview shot of Erebor's interior in the first Hobbit film. For all the gripes I have with the Hobbit films, that is not one of them.
Others, as they come to mind:

    • The final "Oh Captain, My Captain" from Dead Poets Society.
    • Colbert's speech to Stewart on the last Daily Show.
    • The Doctor's talk with Idris as she fades. (And also most of the other Who moments linked.)
Though, @Joe, one of the Who moments you linked (Eleven regenerates) is more a 'fuck, where's the tissues' moment. Not even going to start on Ash and Butterfree. (Because, sincerely, fuck you for bringing that one up.)

If we want to talk about The Daily Show, the post 9/11 episode is super tough to watch and not be moved. Can't believe it's been 14 years already.

Speaking of Doctor Who, Don't Blink.

'In the sight of any living thing, they literally turn to stone. And you can't kill a stone. 'Course, a stone can't kill you either but then you turn your head away. Then you blink. And oh yes it can.'
always sends shivers down my spine.

Got tons more, but seeing Joe's link brought this to my head.

The acting in Star Trek sounds... Sorta weird. I'm not sure what it is, but I can't not notice it. 0.o

Another addition from Patriot Games, one of the best lines ever.

The opening to Person of Interest's 3x10 "The Devil's Share." Though using Johnny Cash's "Hurt" is probably cheating.

The Pawnee-Eagleton Unity Concert (especially Duke Silver showing up) from 6x21/22 of Parks and Rec.

The ending to Gravity Falls 2x11 episode, "Not What He Seems." Dipper and Stan trying to convince Mabel of their respective positions is just heartbreaking.

Mr. Robot 1x08, "eps_1.7_wh1ter0se.m4v" where Elliot discovers the truth about Darlene and Mr. Robot. The whole end scene set to M83's "Gone" is A++.

The last scene of Legend of Korra (4x13 "The Last Stand").

All glorious moments. The Smith era was made of these.

From 'The Eleventh Hour', the famous "Basically...run". 'The Pandorica Opens' - "Hello Stonehenge!" From 'The Day of the Moon', facing down the Silence. And of course, don't ever tell him the rules. Those all fall closer to the awesome end of the stirring spectrum, which is probably helped by the best bit of music Murray Gold ever wrote, 'I am the Doctor'.

Also from Doctor Who, the end of 'Father's Day'. Serious tearjerker.

Away from the good Doctor, the ending scene of The Fountain, where Hugh Jackman finally accepts the fact of his wife's death, and the inevitablity of his own, amidst a dying star* and a simply sublime score by Clint Mansell. The linked video suffers a little from being dubbed over by one Lithuanian man for Jackman and Rachel Weisz, but just watch it.

    Beckett finally getting justice.

    The Misty Mountains Cold.

    Toy Story 3. The furnace.

After that, you probably need two robots sharing their first dance to cheer you up, right?

The West Wing - the ending of Two Cathedrals when Bartlet decides to run for reelection.

The West Wing - The Warfare of Genghis Khan. When Josh Lyman talks about Voyager One and Blind Willie Johnson

The ending of Requiem for a Dream. That's hard shit to watch.

When Mufasa dies in the Lion King. Still can't watch it without shedding manly tears.

Pulp Fiction - the gimp scene. Nuff said.

Pulp Fiction - The Gold Watch flashback. It cracks me up every time. I always get a little gay for Christopher Walken.

True Romance - the Sicilian Scene. Absolutely beautiful. It is by far the best movie scene. Ever.

I got so many more, but I can't list them all.
