    I'd be interested in modding a game at some point. From skimming, looks like there's a rotation or a list or something? I'd like to be added, if possible. I think it might be fun to run Narutomafia again (with different flavor) as we never really got into any of the really fun role interactions.

    There is indeed a list/queue, which you're on as of asking to be.

    You should go ahead and post the name of your game or the flavor or whatever once you have it so it's easier to list it (assuming it's still updated), but I think you're pretty early up on the queue so awesome-sauce ^^

    Been chatting with Newcomb and Eido about a Harry Potter TinyHunt called Horcrux Hunt. 10 v 3, the three scum being Harry, Ron and Hermione, the ten town being Voldemort's Ministry. So in this version, the "scum" are actually the good guys. Of course it's all flavour, but I think it's a fun twist.

    Playing around with a horcrux mechanic. The horcrux is an item that is passed between players: each night, the player with the horcrux decides who they are going to pass the horcrux to. In addition to their regular win condition, scum can only win the game if the player holding the horcrux was lynched or killed while in possession of it.

    Obviously that makes things harder for the scum, so it needs to be balanced out. Was thinking Ron's ability should be some ability to find the horcrux (flavour: deluminator), but not exactly sure how to make that work in a balanced way.

    One idea Newcomb had was that a) the horcrux can never be given to the same player twice and b) each night Ron's ability lets him know who had the horcrux during the previous day. That way scum can figure out who might get the horcrux the next night by process of elimination. The problem with this idea is that it means that each player who gets the horcrux has to be given a list of all the players who already had it, so that they pass it to someone who hasn't had it yet. Another problem is that making one of the scum have an ability that focuses on the additional victory condition means one fewer scum ability to contribute to the regular victory condition. The other two roles might have to be pretty powerful to compensate.

    Also trying to think of what happens if the horcrux is passed to the scum. For a start, the scum getting the list of all the players who already held the horcrux would completely negate the point of Ron's ability. But also there's the problem of scum being able to gift a player the horcrux and kill them the same night, thus making it easy to get rid of (depending on resolve order, I guess).

    (One fun idea, mirroring the source material, is that if the scum get the horcrux, Ron cannot communicate in scum QT for a day, but no idea how that would affect game balance)

    Another idea if the scum get given the horcrux is that they can keep it, passing it between themselves each night indefinitely, but can only destroy it under some special condition. Or I guess it could be that the destruction condition could be the same as normal, which means they either have to kill one of their own or pass the horcrux back to the town, risking letting it get away (again, depending on resolve order, currently thinking horcrux pass resolves at the end of the day, after the lynch but before the night, meaning if scum pass the horcrux to town they can try to get that person lynched but they can't NK the horcrux holder).

    Was also contemplating having possession of the horcrux give its holder some kind of extra ability, but dunno.

    Voldemort role would be vigilante, but not "two mislynch get a free kill" version, rather "once in the game during the day kill a player by posting in the game thread" version.

    No list, but say the new horcrux holder wants to give it to an old holder. Instead, the exchange is reflected and the current holder is forced to continue holding it for the duration of that Night phase. That allows Ron to more easily confirm at Night's End who is currently holding the horcrux and they can work toward lynching that player during the following Day.

    Would that work for balance?

    EDIT: Original Horcrux Holder at DayStart. If he's alive going into the Night, he can hand the horcrux off to another player. Ron learns at Night End/Day Start that the horcrux has been passed from the previous Holder but not to who, repeating each time the horcrux is moved on - and if it's reflected back at the current Holder, Ron learns that. If the Scum NK the person who is intended to receive the horcrux... would it also reflect back to the current Holder? Or allow the Scum to get the win?

    There needs to be some damn good balancing for team H/H/R to compensate for dealing with this horcrux thing. Like the team gets a 1-shot instant daykill or something on top of power roles
