I most certainly have, though I would severely question the mental state of someone willing to clone me! I'm pretty sure we are an army of "Muggle" inferi actually.. dragged from the depths of lurking to rise up and fill the quiet with our meaningless prattle in an attempt to quench the unending thirst for quality fanfiction.

That's a bit on the nose, innit?

As to the topic, I'd probably go with no. Despite the obvious upside of reality warping powers, I'd have to deal with the downside of a regulatory body that monitored and restricted my use of said powers, and was also corrupt/incompetent/mostly in the pocket of people who'd like to see me dead and would likely pay for such results. And that's not even getting into all of the myriad dangers that I'd be facing as Harry, making it rather inevitable that I'd die a grisly (likely humiliating) death. Or get caught out by someone with (mind reading/truth potion/imperius/assorted magical methods), bled dry for information, and then be vanished/transfigured/dealt with.

As for the dullness, I think the fact that Hogwarts' curriculum doesn't much crossover with muggle topics would make going through school from a basic level tolerable, plus I'd be learning MAGIC, so yeah, that wouldn't be a downside. What would be a downside would be having to act like an 11-year old (even if I were a particularly prodigal one, depending on how my mindset took to doing magic). If it weren't for the likelihood (99.9%) of death, I'd still take that risk, but given how dependent the whole live-or-die thing was on situations, dumb luck, and the help of his friends/mentors, and how intolerable I'd find hanging out with, again, 11-year old brats, or pandering to people who would be in positions of authority over me, particularly those as antagonisic as Snape, I think it'd take a miracle beyond even foreknowledge and magic for me to survive First Year alone, much less further on.

Yes, in a heartbeat. I suspect the OP only cares about Emma Watson, but honestly, who in their right mind would turn down magic?

Even if I were killed by Voldemort, and was guaranteed only seven years with magic... I'd still seriously consider it...

Waaaaait, do I get to be 11 year old Harry knowing what I know now? because then I'd just have a re-read of the books and jump right in. With enough forewarning you can have Voldemort's spirit trapped by the end of first year. Then just kick back and point Dumbledore in the direction of the rest of the Horcruxs. No war, no fuss, Order of Merlin 1st class, savior of the Wizarding World once again etc etc.

If you were pure Harry then there wouldn't be any real drawbacks to being an 11 year old boy, because you would know no difference.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to die. As Harry I would be a target, a target who may or may not have plot armour. Plus I would have to be a guy which would suck. Magic just isn't worth both of those things.

The deal breaker for me is if I get to have a handy piece of Plot Armour with me.

If I do, I say yes, tell Dumbledore absolutely everything the moment I get access to an owl, and let him handle Voldemort while I enjoy learning Magic and using my Future-Knowledge as much as possible for both the good of Mankind and my own personal gain.

If I don't, I'm staying away from that death trap known as Hogwarts. Harry should have died in 50 different ways, and only survived because he's the Main Character. Without that guarantee, I would probably die within a week by something stupid.

    This.

Exactly this. If I'm going in knowing that I have Plot Armor, it's goodbye world, I'm getting superpowers, haha fuck y'all, also I'm rich as fuck and will buy all sorts of MAGIC STUFFS.

Otherwise, even with foreknowledge, there's just so many ways that I'm likely to die, and so little that I can do against those who have access to incredible powers such as truth potions, mind reading, obliviating, confunding, imperio, ad infinitum. You can say "Oh I know where all of the Horcruxes are and about Quirrelmort" but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be believed (or if believed, guarantee you won't be left a drooling vegetable), not to mention that not all of the reasons he nearly died are directly attributable to Voldemort, nor will getting rid of him guarantee you protection from his many rich, influential, hating-your-fucking-guts-and-waiting-for-the-opportunity-to-feed-them-to-a-dragon "ex"-followers or a government that may fear your potential influence.

Eh Voldemort is alone and friendless in the first book, even his followers think he is gone. Harry isn't in all that much danger until he goes looking for the stone, that's a whole year to get him trapped. In no way is an entire government going to give a shit about a 11 year olds 'influence.' His fanatical followers are still in Azkaban, the rest have no reason to break cover after all this time and go after you. Hell just pass it all over to Dumbledore and stay out of it like any sane 11 year old child should. In a world with Legilimens and Veritaserum its not like Dumbledore can't check if you/he's lying. Once you remove Voldemort and his Hocruxs from the equation Harry has about as much chance as any other student of surviving Hogwarts. So long as he hexes Scabbers, avoids the Tournament and doesn't take up spider/giant/troll/basilisk baiting anyway.

    No, I wouldn't.

Because you would never know if you've been memory charmed.

    No, because Harrys live sucks.

If it were any other first year (except the DEs kids) or an SI, I'd be really tempted.

I would risk even probable painful death by Dark Wizard for a chance, however tiny, to sex up Fleur Delacour.

I was originally going to say that I would never give up the perfection that is myself for such a sub-par substitute.

But Rep makes a compelling argument. I find myself at an impasse.

Yes. A thousand times yes. I don't even need to debate it. Strap me in, cause I'm ready to go. The threat of death by Voldemort doesn't even deter me - if anything it's a positive. It's not just a life of magic - it's a life of adventure. And that is definitely something I'm okay with.

Anyone's life is fucked up in one way or another if you think about it. So why not have a magical one? :p
