I can't remember the last time a show went from pretty damned good to a complete abortion in such a small amount of time. When they neutered Peter and Hiro after somehow not realizing they'd created two absolute godlike characters from the get-go, it completely ruined the whole thing for me. Even if it was the correct thing to do.

I'd like to see Hiro come back as the bad guy, and I'd really like to see more of Christopher Eccleston, and I'd really really like for this to not be a complete shitshow. Won't get my hopes up for any of it.

 

Mhm. They wouldve been best leaving Peter without powers after nerfing him imo, rather than trying to keep him as a psuedo-hero.

 

I really only stopped watching because of Mohinder's annoying voice at the beginning, and how they tried to make Sylar a good guy at some point

Would have been very interested in watching Future Peter (where he was the bomb) and him trying to save the world. He was a bad ass.

 

My favorite was where Ando got the power that enhances other powers, then did absolutely fucking nothing with it.

Wow, that looks way, WAY better than I thought it would. I hope it lives up to that for at least a season or two.

 

Was that Micah? I do hope they bring Copycat back as well... That story line was a disappointment first time around.

 

Zachary Levi? All my fucking yes. Why aren't Peter or Sylar in this one? Or are they and I just missed them?

 

Peter and Sylar's actors were busy or didn't want to come back. Other than that, I think they've played their hand with returning cast: HRG, Matt, Mohinder, Angela, Hiro, Haitian, and Micah. Anyone else would be a pleasant surprise.

 

Heroes Reborn premiered earlier tonight and it was actually pretty good.

HRG is a blast as always, and the new characters are pretty good too. I don't think there is a breakout character yet like Hiro was in the original, but none of them are Mohinder or Nikki/Jessica/Whoever level annoying.

Of the new characters, I"m most interested in Zachary Levi's character and the Japanese girl. I never knew Zachary Levi was such a good actor, but he's unrecognizable here.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. Hopefully it can at least maintain the quality of the premiere.

 

Trying to decide if I should rewatch heroes or not for this. I admit I can't completely recall what happened in anything but season one.

Strange that the first season stuck with me the longest.

 

That's because it was the only good season.

 

So Im interested in giving the new series a shot but how much of the old series do I need to have seen to follow along? I watched the first season, about 3/4ths of the second and I quit.

From what I've seen of the the premier, you don't really need to know every single thing. But can't say if it'll be like that all the time Trailer of the next episode contained many of the old cast.
