tl;dr you might be scum by PoE? Your slot is harder to read than Riley.

 

Would anyone please provide me with a quick summary?

I'll try and read through the game sometime tomorrow.

 

Let's see.

Day 1 Waco got super townread for posting a lot. Moridin and I had a little spat and we both came out of it looking pretty town. Atum got run up at EoD and claimed Holy with 20 minutes on the clock. We unvoted and Jan volunteered to be Judged. Citrus got shot, and Cobalt revealed Jan as the Town Gambler. fluff CC'd Atum's Holy claim, Atum lurked out literally the entire Day and assassinated Cobalt as Gravedigger before he died. Waco survived a kill last Night thanks to the Angels (could be Illusion Kill but probably not, because Waco was already super townread). Tempus claimed GD!Apprentice, and it's been speculated that he voted Atum over Cobalt a while back because he knew Cobalt would flip as town (not really because there are no flips but he TMI'd it). Koalas claimed Survivalist and outlined a plan to eliminate all the people under suspect (himself, Tempus, Luckylee, Menace, Lungs).

And that's where we are now.

Riley had like zero game relevant content. At least lungs has said things. hasn't he? he had what I thought was a well thought out townread on Moridin, IIRC. I dunno, I'm pretty drunk though.

Drunk mafia sounds fun, but also probably not one wanst to read that, so i'll have to do serious game stuff tomorrow, but like, I think we're in a fantastic place via PoE because Waco and Fluff are confirmed in all worlds except those that are just too weird to be really actionable, and fonti and Snowvon are just town.

Koalas i'll look at oyur plan with a more clear head tomorrow. but off hte top of my head, one problem i see with lynching Lucky is that if he's scum, he take sout someone who scum can never get mislynched but also scum don't want to NK because angel/protect stuff? like if he's scum it's just a free sshot at the most towny town person. which is bad. but we know that. eh, tomororw.

Riley's meta is easier to see through than Lungs. And I only say that because I haven't read any of Lungs' games in-depth enough to get anything more than a shallow 'Lungs is always scummy' feel for his playstyle.

 

Does Riley even have like a scum meta? Like if that's his town meta, what does his scum meta even look like rofl. i kind of got the sense that he was just blithely unconcerned with the game as either alignment.

 

I've read one of Riley's scumgames. Jon immediately picked Riley out as one of the Wolves, it was hilarious.

Newcomb yes but that's never not going to be a risk with a DOB. Plus we'd have alignment confirmation.

 

To be honest I voted Atum because he felt more like Scum tan Cobalt, the game is about making correct lynches rather tan me getting the GD! powers. As for the reason I presented the scenario with the witch apprentice, it's not that I didn't want the GD! powers, rather it seemed like an analisys that should be done and someone would eventually bring it up. Furthermore I truly wanted to lynch Atum.

I think this needs to be the focus of the day.

My first reaction is that this is a great plan for sweeping a good chunk of the PoE off the table. However, I think what we really need to pay attention to here is what worlds it loses to. Like - Koalas, you proposing a plan that kills you no matter what is pretty fucking towny. But there's also the immediate alarm bell thing where you were kiiiiinda going to always be on the block today, and you proposing this means we lose to, like, witch!Snowvon or something. Or! Witch!Waco with a fake kill last night, and this plan takes him to endgame? Eh. This is kind of what i meant by "not actionable." Those worlds exist, but they're just so fucking unlikely that I can't just discard the far more likely world.

I think I'm down with lynching LuckyLee toDay in any case. Scum!LuckyLee will probably shoot Waco or Fluff, and that's a blow but it's better than leaving him around. Town!LuckyLee shoots within the PoE - I would argue pretty strongly for Menace>Tempus>Kalas I think (Kalas has looked like he's actually trying for the latter half of the game, where I can't say the same about the others, plus if we follow Plan Koalas he's offering himself to be lynched D4 if he survives, so...).

Also, with regard to that last bit, if witch!Koalas was planning on dodging the lynch tomorrow with his extra life, I'll just point out the fact that Judge Lynch negates that.

So. Scum!Lucky outs himself with his shot, which means we have two dead - Atum and Lucky - as well as knowledge that a) Lucky's shot was town and b) there are exactly two alive and two dead witches.

I think that narrows down worlds nicely.

So... conditional approval of the plan, subject to me thinking about it a bit more. We need to consider if it's better for Hunter to just hold off shooting, to out and let town direct the shot, or to stay quiet but let that silence be a tacit agreement to shoot within a certain cluster. Ehh... needs some thought.

There are some odd worlds that interfere with it but I'm confident I've readjusted and read the game state correctly. Obviously I'd prefer not to be lynched but its a necessity to show I'm playing things straight.

And alternative option would be to Judge lynch me, negating the extra lives, Hunter shoots Lucky who shoots Tempus but I believe this is less mechanically sound.

 

What if scum is Kalas, Lucky, Judge(unknown)? Then Lucky shoot town, leaving 2 scum in 9. If Hunter misshoots, we have 2 scum in 7. Accounting for lynching Kalas twice, that leaves exactly one lynch to find the last scum. And we lose if we let it go to judge.

Yeah, we would end up with one scum in final four assuming no angel protects/Nurse shenanigans/fanatic extra lives/LC action.

 

We could just have Kalas judge lynched, instruct the hunter to shoot Lucky, and instruct Lucky to shoot Tempus.
