Quick question here. I assume the last part means, if Lucky strays off script then he's scum otherwise he's town. The latter doesn't necessarily imply that Newcomb is scum, right? So how do we clear Newcomb?

Or, for that matter, scum/scum. Not likely, sure, I trust Newcomb, but it's a possibility, and we're quickly running out of those. Scum!Newcomb could play this plan, sacrifice his teammate, and ride the towncred to the end.

Given the rest of his play, it's extremely unlikely, but I'd prefer something more concrete.

Waco, sorry, I've been hella busy and the little time I've been here I've been trying to parse the mechanics behind this play.

As for Lucky, I'd still come down on the side of him being scum. I'm not sure I trust his sudden change in demeanour given how he reacted the last time his dying was brought up. That said, if he's set to Tempus then we get one scum for one town either way.

His fourth could be any of a number of people.

Kalas is a small chance, based on how his original plan worked. Lucky shoots someone else, even if the Hunter targets Kalas he survives (and the alternative is the even scummier Tempus, remember), and he gets a ton of towncred for proposing a plan that could have seen him killed and did nail a witch. Unlikely because it's possible he'd still be dead, which makes it a risky move. Especially since I agree that Tempus is probably part of the team - putting all remaining members on the chopping block?

Fonti is another option, given she hasn't been as vocal as I remember she used to (which, granted is I think literally years ago). A lot of her posts are short and indirect. That said, her overall play seems to be aggressive and she isn't afraid to push her opinion (e.g. her flat out telling me Snowvon is town).

Prophylaxis posted nearly as much as Atum already, which is something, but I feel a lot of it is of a 'mollifying' nature. Wondering if Atum mentioned his buddies, when Atum was inactive enough that parsing what he said isn't that complicated. His townread on Newcomb is also irritatingly vague.

If Lucky is town, that makes Kalas even townier, because he can't rely on Lucky to misfire. I said before that if Kalas is scum, that makes Tempus a likely teammate, which doesn't gel with what he proposed (as I said above).

In that case, it's very likely that one of the core townies is scum. It makes it bad that this entire plan is aimed away from all of them. As to who? Well, fonti again. Snowvon maybe - I still don't like how he reacted to my pressure D1 and I don't know if he was drunk or what, but I just don't see what #898 could have been trying to say.

tl;dr No idea, sorry.

Also, honestly, Fluff basically hardclaimed Acolyte. I feel like killing Cobalt must have been a push to get Tempus the GD, although how he planned to survive long enough to use it I don't know.

Iff Newcomb is scum and Lucky is town, the angels save Lucky. Else, they save whoever, we don't discuss that scenario so the witches don't know who not to hit.

I feel we should clarify that angels should not protect Tempus, even if he is town. Else scum!Lucky could simulate angel protection on him.

Fonti: After he gets his shot off (which he will tonight, unless Newcomb kills him) Waco is basically vanilla town. Newcomb, otoh, is still useful until endgame, not least because he wins a 1v1 if it comes down to that. If you think he's trustworthy enough, then give it to him.

The initial plan was framed as it was to not require role reveals. This turned out to be less of an issue then I initially thought. We're only saving Lucky in that EXACT scenario. Scum firing into scum is fine as following the plan DOES NOT TOWN FIRM. Can't emphasize this enough.

 

Slight adjustment to the plan: I'm considering Newcomb confirmed town because there's no way he and Menace are both scum after 1.he attacked Menace for two Days, 2.Menace voted Atum directly after Newcomb and 3.Newcomb was about to get checked and Menace decided to link them together.

I want a check on Von instead to be absolutely sure and I'm going to Nurse Newcomb in a moment unless someone can give me a good reason that I shouldn't.

 

Von is a fan of checks.

 

OK. But I'm about to bet the game on Newcomb being town. Give thoughts.

 

I mean he's been towny all game and is the claimed Oracle's target. I'm comfortable with it.

I'm not arguing the validity of his claim. I'm arguing whether it was a hard claim at all, which it was ("my priest"). At any rate, not important now since he wasn't targetted. It just makes it obnoxious trying to rebuild my world later.
