As the scene (without the beating) and talking to Dumbledore about it afterwards is canon, it's been used quite a few times in fanfiction with more or less violence involved. In Rise of the Wizards Harry actually captures Dung later and keeps him as prisoner for a while.

 

Yeah I know a lot of fanfics use that scene. If it helps I think Harry sits down by the bar beside Dung before flipping out on him? If no one recognises it I guess I'll just have to give up lol.

 

I want to find a fic. It's a one shot where Harry goes to Dumbledore ranting that he has been manipulating all the events. Here, Dumbledore basically accepts it and reveals that Harry already has found out about it many times before but asks Dumbeldore to obliviate him after finding out the reasons. I don't really remember the ending.

Are there any good stories where Harry is either too slow with the bezoar or Draco's poison is faster and Ron dies? It seems like an easy point of divergence while simultaneously getting rid of the least popular main character. Dumbledore's plan would fall apart, canon would be derailed, it could be neat. Has anyone done it?

 

Are there any decent HP/Witcher xovers?

I sort of expected them popping up all over the place after the game got so massive, but there are only 6 on ffn and the only one of any real length made me lose a bit of faith in humanity.

 

How is Harry being too slow with a Bezoar an easy way to get rid of Hermione from a story?

 

I would love to see a divergence fic like this. It completely changes everything. Especially if Harry figures out Snape/Dumbeldore knew all along that Draco was trying to murder him. There were so many ways in which their plan could have gone wrong in HBP.

Sadly I haven't really found one. HBP and DH divergence are very rare.

the author's view on the culture of pureblood wizards, showing what would be the "proper way" of pureblood society in canon, mostly harry/fem! harry centric. it's pretty good.

 

The first 4 words of the fic are "Hortensia Gaunt née Potter" - how can this be any good at all?

 

the lore of it it's what makes it good, in my opinion.

 

If you want "good" pureblood lore, then it's hard to beat the Sacrifices arc.
