I'll admit to feeling dread as the CLG game approached, fearing another Alliance throw, but thankfully CLG stomped about as hard as they should, by all rights.

Pain showed some good initiative at times, but they were mostly outplayed in all aspects.

So. Two questions in my mind right now.

    EDG vs SKT?

    And, Origen vs TSM?

I think it'll be SKT and Origen to win. I'm of the opinion that both EDG and SKT are either underperforming or hiding their tools, but I think EDG has had a poorer performance than SKT.

Also, I think Origen has very good chances of beating a probably tilted TSM.

Edit: Origen, unlike TSM, had a very strong showing with players overperforming expectation rather than the opposite.

    Thoughts on today's games

    KT vs. TSM
TSM just did not pull off their midgame well. They were a complete non-factor after 23~ minutes in the game. Not a good look for them; they didn't show any fight at all after their third and last kill. Like they rolled over and gave up. If TSM keeps playing like this, they're going to go 0-6.

    LGD vs. OG
The first upset of the day. LGD fell behind early, but they were coming back on Imp's back until they got wombo combo'd by Annie and Orianna. I think TBQ showed how weak he was in this game, though. I wasn't very impressed by him, and LGD needs to assert themselves in lanes more to cover for TBQ. Props to Origen for the clean play. I was impressed by Xpeke in particular. He didn't show this type of performance in the regular season.

    BKT vs. SKT
    No discussion to be had.

    H2K vs. EDG
^ It really doesn't look good for H2K. Meiko was a god this game, though. His flash Tibbers were really on point.

    FW vs. KOO
Second upset. FW shows some mettle and show that they don't suck. They choked hard yesterday with the lead, but have recovered with this game. I dunno if KKramer or NL will play the other games in groups or if they're continue to switch it up, but I hope NL continues to play, because FW have looked a lot better with him. I think their poke comp was executed really well, but other teams will try to force them off that type of comp now that they've shown their hand. Big morale boost for FW.

    CLG vs. PNG
PNG have had some funny/cheesy level 1s. They fucked it up this game though (Braum level 1s are ridiculous). After that, it was a slow descent into a loss. CLG played it safe and cautious, showing a lot of respect to PNG. I don't think they were ever in danger, though--PNG's teamfighting ability was straight up inferior to CLG's.

I think there's a lot to discuss actually.

For example, Marin building Mejai's and then feeding seems to be a worrying trend for SK Telecom going into their next games.

It seems that it doesn't matter who Bengi plays against, his other hand will probably stay out of commission for the foreseeable future, only used to land non-critical cocoons and wipe away Bang's tears.

Finally, we get to the midlaner, Easyhoon, who has shown surprisingly inconsistency with his play of Olaf in the midlane. Not only did he not pick the Brolaf skin, but he ruined the microcosm of esports history in that game by solo killing S4, the star midlaner of Alliance and former TI champion, but then feeding like crazy.

Worst of all, it's exceedingly strange that Poohmandu was afk again. He's been pretty nonexistent this season, it's almost like he went to China or something.

If you didn't see the SKT vs BKT game, and thought you didnt need to watch it because, come on, SKT vs BKT, I'm watching the vod right now.

They had Doa and Phreak cast together with Deficio. The puns never end, and watching Faker dominate midlane as Olaf is amazing.

    Very worth watching!

Why is TSM suddenly using CLG's strategy book?

Despite how far behind they are, EDG are putting up a hell of a fight. They're not tilting and walking around, avoiding fights and accomplishing nothing.

I'm quite impressed by EDG's performance. I wish western teams knew how to play from behind, too.

Edit: Deft is playing like a madman.
