So, as some of you probably know, I haven't been updating much recently... like, at all. Now, you could point to my YouTube channel (or, you know, work) as the reasons why, but I've also been working on a little pet project for quite some time and now it's finally come to fruition...

    To Kill A Dragon

Yep, my first full-length novel under Morning Rain Publishing to be primarily available in eBook form, to be released on October 24, 2015. I'm super-psyched that I've finally gotten to this point, and I wouldn't have gotten here without you guys.

So I'm going to be following Joe's lead here: I'm willing to offer a copy for free to any of you guys in PDF form - you've been patient so long, I owe you that much, so send me a PM if you're interested. All I would ask is that you wander over to Amazon and drop a review - doesn't have to be positive, just keep it honest (but then again, it's DLP, I wouldn't expect anything else).

Or you could chip in and buy a copy too, that'd be killer.

I'll be releasing more details up until the launch date, but just to let you know, my publisher primarily does eBooks, so odds of getting a paperback might run a little slim (unless I sell a couple thousand copies, and if that's the case, all bets are off!).

Thanks again, guys, it's definitely appreciated!

Have you got a link to the amazon page? I haven't been able to find it yet.

Plotless He said it is to be released on October 24, 2015 on his post, so it shouldn't be on Amazon yet :p

    Anyways, congratulations! That's awesome news!

    Hells yeah! Congrats Silens!

Use a complex plotting method for this like you did for your fanfiction? Cuz I remember chatting briefly with you about that a while back.

    But big grats :D

From the title and cover, I'm hoping it's a fantasy legal novel with a meticulously meandering plot about a lawyer defending a dragon accused of regicide (or whatever the equivalent term is for murdering a princess).

Silens, I'd give you all the thumbs if I had any to spare, but I don't :(

Frankly, it sounds too complex to be interesting. I've never had patience for too complicated murder plots, thefts, puzzles and such when it comes to books.

It sort of reminds me of Goblin Quest, though, which is an alright book.

Oh. It's the original piece you used to post every few days some months ago! I loved that!

Mysteries and plots are things Silens does very well. Renegade Cause was epic. If this is half as good, it's gonna be a success.

    Plot twist!

The Dragon is Ann Coulter, and Silens' mc kills her by advocating socialism.

I'll definitely be picking this up on Amazon next week.

Renegade Cause's prose was overwhelming from what I remembered; I never could finish it - but that was a while ago and my experience with English was not as it is now. Nonetheless, I'm really happy for you Silens! Most would have gone the self-publishing route, but you decided to go with a publishing house. Grats it's working out. I wish you good luck with this project and whatever might follow from it :)

Ok, I need to say this - am I the only one who thinks the cover could be better? It looks like someone with basic Photoshop skills glued some random google images results together and slapped on a font that doesn't fit.

Good job Silens, I never caught the original topic ages ago and if I ever scrounge up the time I'll see about dropping a few dollars on this once it goes live on Amazon and sling a review your way down the road.

Renegade Cause has engendered enough trust in me that I'll definitely try reading it. Good luck, Silens, I hope it works out.

As for the cover, Ι'll admit that the dragon outside the window is just ... bad, no matter how I look at it, and doesn't do you any favors. And the letter font hurts my eyes. Rest of it is okay-ish. Not good, but not terrible.

Good thing I don't really care about the cover. I'll see if I can grab myself a copy of this, I loved it when you were posting it.

    Congrats mate.

Not giving you a blowie or anything because you're from DLP, but that summary Radmar posted does actually sound interesting, so I'll buy a copy when it's released and leave a review since I probably would of done that if I ran across it in a book store.

Best of luck, wishing you lots of monies.

How much did the feel and the general plot change from the version that you've been posting on DLP and then removed?

If it pops up on Bookdepository, I'll buy it.

    Awesome, Silens!

I don't know, I actually thought it sounded decently interesting, and I'm usually majorly turned off by mentions of high fantasy.

Since this is an ebook and does not need to be shipped anywhere, you should be able to get it off of the US or UK or whichever version of amazon you please, shouldn't you?

Props, Silens. And yes that cover is godawful. It gives off something of a Dinosaur Erotica vibe, perhaps crossed with The Sims or a 3D porn generator. Did you pay someone for that?
