What you did is fine, BUT you are not allowed to mention that you quoted it from your qt (you could lie about it anyway, but rules are rules).

I made a similar mistake in a game the other day, when i quoted something that had no information about my alignment. Just don't mention your qt and you are good with a post like that.

Thoughts on the thread so far:

Koalas is even more AWOL than I was. All fluff posts so far. I'm still a bit apprehensive about Snowvon totally ignoring Koalas so far. Only mention is 150+ posts in. To be fair, equally concerning is everyone else just seemingly ignoring him (the only other person I can recall prodding at Koalas is Citrus).

Snowvon, what are your thoughts on demonturtle, TMNT and Evil now?

I kinda feel font is reading a bit too much into otherwise innocuous RVS posts, but as it seems to be based on meta (something I'm clearly less experienced than her on regarding Jan/Citrus/Banks, so it's mostly a null tell).

I'm finding Citrus's strong townread on Snowvon fairly puzzling, since he quotes the very post I'm finding Von suspcious for as proof that he is town. His whole argument with font seems a bit shouty without much engaging and re-evaluating to me? His point about Banks especially is reaching. I can definitely see a light townread based on something small like that, but he fairly strongly defended that townread when questioned.

Not sure why demonturtle suddenly decides to speculate about the set up on pg9/10 of the thread. Do you have zero reads right now? What about commenting on fonti/Citrus? You put some of your thoughts about the game in #189, but why do you think those things? The only read you really elaborated on was on Blorcyn - why is claiming to be the priest a suspicious thing to do, especially in a game where the specific flavour name Priest probably doesn't exist?

Man, after the last WH, I'm afraid of reading towny-sounding posts as towny because coaching could be a Thing.

I still think that 86 and 92 rang some faint town bells. Like, they weren't /so/ towny that I suspect coaching, but. It was subtle enough that I think it's genuine?

I have a light townread on Plotless, and I don't like TMNT's vote on him. Some people were quick to townread him after 124, which. Coaching paranoia there. I dunno, the first line directed at me feels out of place? A jokey line with a smiley. Like. It feels forced. I'd probably be more inclined to believe the rest of the post without the first line. :/

fontisian liked Evil's question in 91, which? Feels weak. And his only other post of value is 183, where he is obvious scum for misspelling my name he seems to be sheeping fontisian's scumreads, and even then he's hesitant to do it for some reason. And then he randomly says he decided he likes my reasoning, but not why.

And then Citrus asked me about Elemental. Uh. His analysis in 182 of 'demonturtle must be town because scum know how many scum there are' is. Yeah. And then he wines it up. Like. I almost want to townread him for that post because it's so bizarre and probably not coming from scum. It practically has 'I AM SUSPICIOUS' stamped on it in big bold neon.

Right, so Koalas isn't saying much. Doesn't make me too suspicious at present - but I'm certainly paying attention to that.

Same with Banks. Pics on pics on pics - Infiltrate the dealers, find the suppliers. I feel like I have no legitimate idea what's going on with Banks. So I'm not going to go more into detail on him, but its a big attention-grabbing thing going on there.

I don't know, I feel like you put out ideas. Reasonable ideas, sure, but don't throw them out with the reasons - and you're quite defensive. You say you're playing by the seat of your pants, that you're figuring it out, which is a fair point. However, it rubs me the wrong way a little. It's passive and defensive and 'oh, don't take me too seriously' 'don't listen to me too much' I don't get that in this environment. It makes me worry.

So, I looked at everyone's list.
I looked at who came up most often.

I looked at Demonturtle's and Citrus' back and forth. If you want to see it as coaching, it could very much be coaching. Citrus suggest numbers, Demonturtles goes ehrmygosh, Citrus goes how many do you think then, Demonturtles gives off an answer which looks townish. Then elemental gets involved, then it gets discussed. But it had two players and it could be easily controlled discussion. I'm just not sure I buy it.

So I looked through Citrus' posts. I find it interesting his justification for tempus' townread. I don't feel like it's a strong point, at all. Elemental noticed. And I think it's kinda obvious. So it makes me wonder if it's a safety and I should in fact be reading Tempus as town too.


So, looking at Tempus. Fonti thought he was scummish, Jan thought he was town.

After Fonti's read, Tempus put Fonti as townish. Tempus didn't mention Jan

Jan's big scum is demonturtle, plotless and Citrus. I'm wondering about Tempus now, waiting to see what he puts in this thread until lynch time.

But my main scum reads right now are Citrus and Demonturtle.

 

I liked both 118 and 211 because it feels like Von is posting to work things out rather than posting things in order to look active. I disagree about the read on demonturtle, who I'm pretty sure is newb!scum who's trying to hastily make up for a mistake.

I'm conflicted on this one. I don't like 100. It's fluff, emotes, nothing of substance. However 143 is better because I have an idea of things to figure out. The vote on Jan is just RVS, nothing to analyse. Still don't know, but on the lower end of null.

That's... probably true. I'm just a defensive person by nature I suppose, but I'll try and put a little more reason with my future posts.

In response, can I have your opinion on both Von and Citrus? I've liked your posts so far, but they've been on the "easy targets": Elemental, demon and myself.

 

Yeah I probably won't get strung up though and definitely not claiming.
