Is it possible that scum have a tracker? So far it's confirmed that they had a rolecop and a goon with no night action. And Snowvon died in the night, so they definitely have at least one with a kill action.

TMNT had just really one post of his reads and that one was incomplete. I know I'm not much better, but I do know that I'm town. And I don't want to wait and miss out like the Titus lynch. So:

My vote on plotless was always real, though. Just because it was OMGUS doesn't mean I don't think he's scum. Right now my top scumspects are you, plotless, demonturtle, and banks.

 

What about Koalas and Evil?

 

People I'm suspicious of, but only really in the sense of: hrm, if I'm wrong about them that'd be quite bad are Evil, Koalas, and Lj. Of those, I'm least suspicious of Lj.

Koalas is probably the doctor. Or at least town. He has the highest probability of being scum if demonturtle is also scum.

 

LJ I'm pretty sure isn't scum. Neutral or town is to be seen. You said you'd post reads of people who weren't in your first list. I'm waiting for that.

 

See it's post like ^ that. Which have me worried Lj might be scum. Has anyone actually checked her roleclaim? (Notwithstanding is the fact that you're defending her and since you're probably scum....)

 

Plotless and Blorcyn had a high chance of rolling scum since I don't think the mods would make a scum team full of experienced players. Blorcyn so far seems town, so Plotless might be scum.

1. The Titus defense
Titus likes to set up her teammates as slightly towny, and dismiss any logical errors they have as townie ramblings or paranoia. See this post:

TMNT's posts are excused as moonlogic, he is called towny, and (in the event TMNT gets outed as mafia) Plotless is linked to him, so he can be lynched next.

2.The overreaching

3. The Too Much Information(TMI) curse

I don't think TMNT would honestly read demonturtle as town there unless he already knew he alignment. Additionally, he treats Titus' thing as a trap for new townies.

4. Attempts at laughing off pressure

"Don't look at me, I'm innocent."

5. The Citrus defense

Citrus gave TMNT a very light townread that was not merited.

6. The lack of initiative

This is one of many examples of TMNT only reacting when he's called upon instead of independently working to figure out the game.

7. Stagnant reads

These are TMNT's scum suspects. They are the same suspects he gave me 24 hours ago. There had been enough content in the thread since then that I find it strange his haven't changed at all.

8. The role
TMNT neighborized me last night. On a balance level, I find it unlikely that town would have both a reporter and neighborizer role that can confirm themselves. I also don't see how his claimed flavor (John Chapman) matches his role, though perhaps Jan can enlighten me. In addition, I find it strange that TMNT targeted me and then did basically nothing with it when 1.I was one of the most likely kills last Night, 2.He could have targeted LJ to test her claim and 3.he claimed a one-shot ability, which makes a good use /kind of important/.

9. Von's reads
Von's strongest scumread was TMNT for much of Day 1. Von is now dead.

Other random stuff:

The buddying is strong with this one. LJ is either town or 3P.

If TMNT is scum, I would probably clear Tempus off of this post.

And I would like to hear Elemental explain why he voted Tempus instead of Citrus here.

I also think Elemental has way to many mechanical based thoughts and I kind of want to lynch him for the TMI just in case he flips mafia.

Why are they linked like that to you? I kind of have the opposite reaction where I think that, if one is scum, the other isn't.

I could maybe see a Turtle scum tracker/Koalas doctor pairing where Turtle decided to out to the thread to make the kill excusable if she NKed Koalas. I this this is the least likely.

I could also see Koalas in a scum role like poisoner or role thief that targeted Fonti to steal her power or do something else to her besides straight Night Kill with Turtle being a town sided tracker.

I think in a world where they were both scum, Turtle could just have claimed to have targeted me and gotten blocked to test my claim since people said that someone could/should do that.

My case against Jan is:

a) His vote on Turtle was terrible and he should know better. I think he was hiding behind just being able to sheep you.

b) The bulk of his contributions that I remember have been flavor/theme confirmations.

c) His read on me went from town to 3rd party with little to know rationale. That makes me think that his reads are changing based more on thread sentiment than actually feeling that way.

d) He just feels off. I know that's a shitty reason.


I lean scum, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he was third party with a victory condition that was like, "kill off the other 3rd party" or something. I don't know if that's thematic or not, but I've seen a few games with 3rd party roles that all had the VC of being the last one standing.

Someone else felt a little TMI-y the first day. I'll try and figure out who it was when I have some more time, but I remember thinking, "It feels like you know Tempus will flip scum and are setting me up for after that happens."

I am town, not third party, but that is a weird read you have there.

 

Personally, reading that exchange at the top of this page between Elemental and TMNT makes me want to lynch both of them.

I think flavour gaming is likely to lead us astray - from Citrus's claim of Chad Mulligan I'm sure the mod probably provided them with a list of characters who are not in the game. That said, since fonti already told everyone what TMNT's role is, it would be great for TMNT to paraphrase some of his flavour and explain how he is a neighbourizer from it.

I get this odd feeling from Elemental. It's posts like these:

I'm almost certain the kill is a factional ability instead, so it's a clear "town tell", just like demonturtle's slip about thinking about 3 scum in particular. It's difficult to read into this though, since in addition to possible coaching, they've also already seen demonturtle get a bit of a pass for doing the same thing earlier.
