Well, it's only noon today, but so far I have 1117 words written on my project, even if some of it is summary.

Good hustle! Remember, it's about 1,666 words a day to hit the 50k word target - but even a fifth of that at the end of the month is a great month!

I did say it was only noon, geez. ;)

Just hit 1868, and stopping for the day.

It's summary, but the summary is finished. I decided to try and write something for that Star Trek contest during NaNo. So that's only 10k, but I have to come up with the idea and try to cram it into the correct word count as well... bah. Maybe I'll get around to working on my original plan for NaNo as well, we'll see.

1400 words of a more detailed outline than what I already had, and I'd already written 2500 words previously for the first chapter. Of course, I tend to do my writing late at night when everyone is asleep and I can have some peace and quiet, so that's subject to change.

I am just counting everything together instead one specific story, that way I can keep some track of things. Got about ~3200 words today for a quest update. We'll see what I get to tomorrow. :)

Well, I didn't write the recommended amount, and it was fanfic rather than original fiction, but I did bash out a thousand words, give or take. I think rather than aim for the full 50,000, I'm going to simply try and do between 500 and 1000 words a day, more as a habit building exercise than anything else. See how we go from there.

Thanks! I'm not the most prolific writer -- can't afford to be with school and work -- so I really am just aiming for ~15k this month. Which is more writing than I've done in a while.

The biggest struggle? I've gotten into this bad habit where I get so hung up on editing that I can't move forward.

I did 750-ish words in Day 1 and aim to do the same today. I think, like Shinysavage, I'm going to try and use it to build a writing habit rather than reach the 50,000 word mark.

I love writing. I'm not very good at it but I find the act of immersing myself in a completely fictional world of my own design extremely relaxing. Unfortunately, I so often tel myself that I don't have time for it. I think, with my current work-related stress, that I'm going to start making time. It's either that or go crazy.

Jumping in a day late but eh fuck it.

    Forgot this was a thing
    Saw this was a thing

ok no let's do this shit this time.

Going to probably focus on my HP fic idea that has been mutating for 4 years, it's time to have a real story from this.

Some real good hustle. I'm enjoying the hustle.

    Keep hustlin', hustlers.

I'm nearly at 5k, hoping to get a day ahead of schedule today - bit of breathing room - and then tomorrow put in a solid day of it. Double to about 12k, or so. Need to do a Pringles and cherry Coke run, though.

830 words this morning. Time for necessary housework before returning to writing later.

Written close to 1000 words today. Trying to get another 1000 more in. Hope RL doesn't interfere this time, I've been trying to get through this for 3 years and failing now.

At least Palindrome was wrong about NaNoWriMo requiring 500k words in a month. That's right, 500k. Clearly 50k is for pansies.

On that note, I am set with a few egg/cheese/bacon biscuits, coca-cola, and coffee.

So I've written ~3000 words of my new chapter... and I now have no idea where I'm going. The b̶u̶c̶k outline stops here. Beyond this point, there are no rails to guide me, only peppermint schnapps, spite, desperation, and a light at the end of a very long tunnel which might turn out to be a dragon.

I have never actually written any fanfiction... I may have to rack my brains (or the plot bunny thread) for inspiration and give it a go.
