I have absolutely no expectations for Warcraft. Movies of video games just never work out well. The only one I would consider as not absolutely terrible were the Tomb Raiders.

Not 2016, but a Witcher movie is in the works apparently.

Not familiar with the director beyond the games' openings. Also, the company doesn't seem to have the best track record. Still, nothing may come out of this.

It's, well, very generic I suppose? And with the amount of obvious CGI, it would probably be an improvement if it was fully animated instead of having human actors in it.

 

Given what they say about how long it takes to make a 2 minute trailer, you'd expect the full CGI movie release to be 2050.

Though, that'd be awesome, lol.

 

Hmm. A lot of the Warcraft elements seem to be awkward in movie form, but I think that's something that we'll easily get used to as we get immersed and after, say, the 15 minute mark.

Still hyped to see it. If a bit cautious.

If I only see one movie in 2016, this is it.

 

Nothing that made me think it's anything but generic fantasy action. Not a single thing that made me go "awesome". Guess we'll see.

 

The film will apparently also be in post-production into may 2016.

 

My biggest worry is that, in trying to tell both sides of the war/ story, they're not gonna do either justice.

 

Most notable one for me was the baby orcs sice in the hand. Ofcourse one has to remember that its newborn.

 

The Gryphon mount made me frown. Orcs looked slightly weird at first couple scenes, but I got used to them very quickly so I assume the same will happen in the movie.
Is it just me or did they actually buff the Orcs physically to their canon counterparts?

 

No, it's the other way around. Humans in game are generally much beefier than the actors. Shrinking down the Orcs would have been lame, and using CGI on humans probably would look ridiculous, lol. Hard problem to solve, I'm not sure it needs to be tbh.

What was wrong with the Gryph? Is it that they're normally a dwarf mount?
