I would argue it isn't even champion mechanics you need to understand, just general game mechanics.

Don't eat minion damage. Don't overextend. Don't take turret shots. Don't go ham.

There are a solid dozen "Don'ts" you need to learn before you can actually start learning the game.

Nasus top can be a good pick, because it teaches the importance of CSing well. It is weak early and wrecks late. Probably your best bet to do well early imo, although it encourages a playstyle that won't necessarily be helpful on different champs.

When you're just starting I'd actually say go ham a lot. There's no way to learn what you can and can't do other than trying it.

The best way to learn as a beginner is to play with people who know the game. This game has a lot of shit that isn't immediately obvious, you need someone to show you what to actually do in a game. I think Oz added you, try and play with him.

It's actually pretty easy. The trick is to not fight it alone; it takes I think double or triple damage or something if you attack it from behind, so it's supposed to be unsoloable.

Just came back from a costume party for bio chemists (weird I know) and saw two people dressed as LoL characters there. One woman as Teemo, a guy as Mordekaiser. Had an interesting talk with Mordekaiser. Mostly telling him how he is imbalanced and him basking in the glory of me hurling slurs at him.

That new TSM roster looks pretty damn stacked on paper. If Doublelift and Kasing get along well I'd expect them to win NA LCS this coming season handily, provided that Svenskeren doesn't regress into a ward bot.

Have to disagree with most of the comments here. As a beginner, do your best to play every free champion for the week at least once or twice. Don't worry about people saying picking one or two champions to "master," about the game mechanics like minion damages, etc. Those can all be done later when you hit level 30.

Playing a champion yourself is the fastest way to get to know them better, and will help you improve the fastest in the long run. The worst is to quickly get comfortable with one or two champions, and your improvement will be a lot more stagnant. This lets you learn strengths and weaknesses of each champion (it's not as clear when you only watch someone else play it), the ranges, the cooldowns, etc. People that don't play more champions usually end up not being able to trade damage properly, can't tell when to engage, etc. So as a beginner, make use of the time to try out as many things as possible :p

I'm just not able to win as Heracim. I've gotten the most kills on my team in 4 of the last 5 games with him, but I still have a 0% win ratio for him. I don't know if it's because I'm bad, or playing too greedy, or if my teammates are bad, or because the opponents are really good (A Karma on the other team got 35 kills one game, more than the rest of her team combined).

I got LSI to save replays in order to look over them, and I think my biggest faults are that I don't know when to commit or hold back and my map sense is terrible. I've put a replay of my last game up for download if anyone has a similar replay software and wants to give me some tips. I'm pretty useless for the first 15 mins, so prepare to cringe at awful plays.

    Thanks a lot.

Should go AD reds, health yellows and armor per level blues. Armor of lifesteal quints are the most efficient nowadays. Fervor of battle and dangerous game for mastery trees.

I think hec still goes trinity full tank. And first item merc tread homeguards

Alright. I've only played 2 games with Caitlyn, but I've gone 12/4/2 and 8/1/10 with her. I've gone over my Heracim games, and my biggest mistake was trying to push for early kills with a lategame focused champion and trying to build adc on a tanky champion, but Caitlyn just feels so right.

I was screwing around in blind pick and played as Kayle; mirror match with another Kayle. Difference was I had Guinsoo and he didn't. It didn't turn out well for him.

    Inc nerfbat.
