Why does somebody do this? I mean, does it feel good to look at revies and favorites and be like 'yay, that's my account'? Or what?

 

If he was going to plagiarize he might've editted it at least. I wasn't ready to publish that yet.

 

Who knows the motivations of a guy who is known to spend hours after hours to plagiarize even the reviews to some of the stories he steals.

We've got the active ones once again documented at TAPIR. In addition to stories mentioned here, also the Blood Rose is up. Still nine active accounts, hopefully we'll see this one gone soon.

Someone on DLP needs to volunteer to take one for the team.

 

For someone to be this persistent, there just about has to be a mental irregularity. Some variation on OCD, a perpetual self-confidence problem, or maybe even a major dis-connect condition, like Asberger's... Or some sort of need to get caught. I mean, if he (or she) did this and got away with it, that would be one thing, but picking popular stories that many people have read is just begging to be called out.

Unless, of course, he's doing this big in order to hide something small, but I think I'm over-analyzing.

Anyway, I feel sorry for them.

FFN is seriously understaffed. Their issue is that they don't use volunteers, unlike i.e. AO3 who have a dedicated team of volunteer plagiarist hunters who are very efficient. FFN basically has one overworked admin handling abuse reports, which leads to the majority of them disappearing into the abyss. But unlike a normal abuse report, they actually have to react to a takedown order by the owner of the story within a reasonable amount of time.

There's a major attempt at trolling DLP going on, based on the newest uploads. Haven't yet identified all of the stories, but many of them seem to be from WbA.
