Picked up Sinless for myself, and a few more copies of Transistor to give to folks that have yet to enjoy it.

 

After reading more about the season pass pricing controversy and about Elite: Dangerous in general, I think I'll steer away from it for now and buy Rebel Galaxy instead. RG is a very different game and not a serious space sim at all - but perhaps more action-oriented, impactful on the game-verse, and uncomplicated fun than ED. Also, it has true singleplayer so we can have mods.

I haven't played either one yet. I've only compared reviews and comments on them.

It was a caching issue where users were seeing pages [read only] that had been generated for other users. No one could access/alter anyone else's accounts, but they were receiving 'sneak peeks' of random pages from random users. Names, wallet values, addresses, etc. were visible to random Steam users during this period.

It's annoying, but not too worrying.

 

Can I get a link? I beat EW on Classic when it came out, but I can't last very long on Long War Ironman mode.

There's my rebalance mod, one that lets you customize the air war, one that lets you customize the stats of unique soldiers, one that removes the MEC level loss and xp penalty, and then nine mods that are varying degrees of customizeable that mostly make changes to the .upk files Long War uses. I.E. not shit you can easily alter in the DefaultGameCore.ini

really none of this is tbh. Incidentally, I'm still looking for a list of what tokens are what for Unreal Engine 3. Seriously, you try writing mods when you don't know what tokens are what in UEExplorer!

I just bought it myself, so haven't played a lot, but it was pretty fun.

 

Got Dark Souls 2 for a decent price of a bit over 15 €.

Seems to be okay...after getting over the initial shock caused by the keyboard controls, and spending an hour or two and a death trying to change them to something that were actually usable.

Nevertheless, every time the game prompts for the start key gets me assuming they did the port in 5 minutes.

Definitely up for a mention on my list of "most unplayable with default settings".

If I was using a controller, probably wouldn't be complaining about the keyboard controls. Even, as painful as they are, don't see an absolute need for using one.

However, if a game clearly is optimized for a controller, it still really isn't an excuse for a shitty port.

 

You can stick to your PC Master Race principles if you like, but I gave in and bought an Xbox360 controller just for games like that.

I rage quit Dark Souls based on the keyboard controls originally, but it seems decently playable with the controller.

 

Without a doubt. I just played 10 hrs on it with a few colleagues from work. Even the single player versions are really good.

 

Sigh. Two more lured away from the Cause.

Seriously speaking, still haven't given up hope on that game with the current setup. But maybe I need to revise this in a few months when it's more clear if I have a) ragequit or b) bought the controller.

 

I have a key left over for Abyss Odyssey on steam. I got two keys in a humblebundle.
