    Actually he does.

James Ironwood - Iron is a metallic, chemical element with a silvery-gray luster.

Thr Ozpin thing was said by Monty himself, or so the wiki says.

So uh, here's my problem with Episode 6. It's great and all that they've dropped all this cool shit on us in one episode, but why the fuck haven't we known anything at all about any of this until Season fucking 3. There's been literally no foreshadowing at all about any of the magical girl shit in any other episode at all, despite the fact that pretty much nothing at all has happened in the rest of Season 3 aside from the occasional character moment and shittons of fights that nobody cares about. Hell, in all honesty the fight in this episode was the first one that I actually gave a shit about since it was the first time I was actually unsure about what would happen, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise what ended up happening.

So basically, the main problem RWBY is facing is that it's just got horrendous pacing. The first 5 episodes are a slow burn with boring fights and the occasional fun moment with the characters, and then all of a sudden we get a HUGE plot dump that totally blindsides us and then get a short and sweet fight.

    Fun.

Just caught up. End of episode 6 was retarded, after coming off a bunch of fillerish episodes. Random magic girls, and random Yang framejob... seems very out of nowhere. At least the yang/mercury fight scene was pretty decent (if that was actually mercury?).

Recreating the Red, White, Black, Yellow trailers for a worldmerge RWBY crossover. Good or bad? Quite often when I see them in fics I just skip over them.

Considering how they have to storyboard this stuff out way in advance, pacing issues are somewhat expected. Kinda wish they could do shorter skits like in old school RvB.

...Maybe a RWBY spin-off like that would be good? CRDL as main characters for comedy purposes or something. I'd watch it.

Wow. I'm going to say that's the best episode of RWBY yet so far.

I just don't see what this adds to the world, really. They had a magic system
with the dust and it has by no means been explained yet. So yeah, not a huge fan.

Cinder's episode was probably the best yet, though I feel maybe some more of that stuff could have been slipped into other episodes. One for mercury, one for emerald and then this one? Would rather have had that than sssn and their stupid fight.

While on the subject of the magic lady thing. If they are such a bit deal and so dangerous then how did one of them get wrecked by a bunch of teenagers? No matter how talented, that makes no sense. If it had been a proper ambush,
Maybe; but she had more than enough time to regain her bearings.

WOW the fall maiden looked weak as hell.

I kinda wish we could have seen Qrow fight them but... ehhhhhhh...

There's a bit of a plothole - why doesn't Qrow recognize the three of them when they're... you know... fighting in the tournament?

Edit: animation for the eyes was retardo af. Legit a color change might have been enough?

Eh, he did say 'the enemy is here', and with their technology they could easily find people with features as distinctive as Cinder's group. Perhaps Emerald fucked with his perception? She seems to be good at that.

And the whole fight issue...they triedto show how powerful the maiden was with a lot of fancy magic stuff and, in contrast, show how effective Cinder's group was in both planning and execution. It didn't work that well, and the Maiden lost because she screwed up, turning her back to the enemy like that.

    How old is Cinder anyway?

Not really a fan of the direction the story took in the last couple of episodes. Advancement of the overall plot has been long overdue, but doing it like this is just... meh.

I actually liked how the fight in the latest episode showed all the powers the fall maiden has access to, but also showed that those powers don't naturally make one a better fighter. Turning your back on the enemy is retarded, yes, but a totally believable mistake to make if you've grown up with incredible powers but not much combat experience. (Or perhaps, only combat experience fighting grimm rather than people?)

If you fight 3 people your back is always going to be turned to one of them. Her powers were negated by Cinder.

Can you elaborate on her powers being negated by Cinder? I didn't catch that at all, unless you're referring to the power drain that happened after the fight was over.

Neo is the issue. As long as she's present you can never be sure who saw or who didn't swe something.

Are we sure Neo is the illusionist? I thought it was Emerald.

    It's Emerald.

Not to say that Neo isn't an illusionist, but Emerald was the one doing Yang.

Yeah, Neo may be an illusionist, but Emerald screwed with Yang's perception. Which is worse: had it been "simply" an illusion, I suppose there could have been ways to detect it with all the professional hunters present.
With it all happening in Yang's head, only something like lie detector or Legilimency could clear Yang, and I don't see that happening soon.

Also, did I miss the second person Emerald was messing with? Could it be Qrow, to prevent him from remembering them? Or even Blake, since she has seen them before?

The two people were probably the two medics looking at Mercury.

Uhh, I thought it was the other way around. Yang saw the right thing, everyone else saw something he illusion.

I liked the Fall Maiden fight, that's just different mind-set's clashing, one probably all about heroism and whatnot, who really doesn't want to kill anyone and then the villain group, who want to take her down hard and rip out her power/soul/whatever. It was inspired by ATLA and TLOK and it showed.

This is the second time Qrow managed to pull off a last minute rescue in the middle of nowhere. Is that his Semblance? Some sort of danger sense/teleportation or whatnot?

That said, I am really unsure how this master plan is going to work.

So, for all we know right now, Mercury, who doesn't go to the school he claims he is from and whom no one will recognize, despite being good enough to be in the finals, got his leg broken on international TV, only, he doesn't have any legs and if Yang's shotgun punch had ripped a hole in his pants, that would have been revealed or of the medic had tried to touch his leg right there, would have felt the metal, and then, Mercury disappeared, mysteriously.

And none of that is going to be suspicious? Especially since Qrow got a look at them and Blake too, btw and don't give me it was dark, she can see in the dark, and they were kinda all over television.

Honestly, Cinder didn't seem to be the kind of person who hopes for one miracle after another for her plans to workout.
@Download, Emerald most likely messed with Yang. It's almost certainly easier to just fool Yang than it is everyone in the stadium plus the cameras.
