Ohhh, now that brings me back. I, too, wrote a fanfic because I was forced to enter a writing competition. I wrote it about the epilogue kids - despite hating the idea - purely because I knew people would eat it up.

I did actually win that competition. They gave me a box of chocolates.

On a slightly different tangent, I won some chocolates from a library competition too. But it was math related, had to guess the number of Hershey Kisses in the container. My first real life use of math and I just used the # of kisses wide by the # high.

    Felt good man.

My first fanfic was a very un-fleshed out drabble on Mass Effect - mostly about the interactions between the humans and the turians.

Published it and forgot about it for a little while. Eventually I went back, read it over again, and was so horrified by it that I deleted all of the drafts.

Looking back, I kinda wish that I'd kept it, because it started a rather vicious cycle. I'd get an idea that I expanded on in my head, tried to put it down on paper, and lost interest in the idea once I realize how difficult it was to create a manageable plot.

If nothing else, I'd like to have it around so I can compare it with my now-marginally better drabbles that shall never see the light of day.

My first fanfic is a still in progress Quidditch fic, where Harry goes pro during his 5th year (after killing voldie during the resurrection in the graveyard). I'm currently stuck early on with dealing with Ron's jealousy over Harry becoming rich and even more famous by playing the sport he loves. I'm trying to find that fine line between bashing and Ron being a jealous teenager with a very successful friend. It's annoyingly difficult to get his character right (maybe because I dislike him) and iv'e been stuck on that for an intolerable amount of time.

Also Quidditch rules are insane. 150 points! really!

A percy jackson fanfiction about an OC who was a norse demigod, somehow got more comments on that 2000 word piece of shit than on my later vastly superior pieces.

Congrats on that, good job :D.
    ...This means war.

I've already mentioned my first fanfiction but my first piece of literary writing actually happened before my first fanfic. It was a 3 page A4 story (Quite impressive if I do say so myself for a six year old) about a magician performing at a birthday party for kid called Jack. I held onto it for four years until I left it, along with my rucksack, in a bus.

It was a shitty Kim Possible one-shot about Indy! Ron. I deleted it out of shame a year after I joined DLP when I realized it was still on ff.net.

If you want to get technical: a diary entry of sorts, exploring Lady Macbeth's sleepwalking at the start of Act V, and the possibilities of what she might experience/see/feel. I'm not entirely sure if it counts as proper fanfiction if it's done for school (IB, to be specific), but I was damn proud of it, even if it was little more than a slightly fleshed-out drabble. (~600 words.)

Of my own accord: some penny-a-dozen iteration of 6th year.

A terrible Medal of Honor fic. I think it might actually still be up on my ff.net account.

A 12 year old's episode of a Swedish TV show called "Hem till midgård". Basically it was a terrible story of vikings getting kicked in the balls like ever other sentence.

Oh god, first fanfic I ever wrote was 'Yugioh: A Teenagers Tale' basically about the main character trying to get with Tea because I was mad they never did it in the real series. Has a full fledged Gary Stu and I think ripped off a scene from Good Will Hunting. Gotta love 15 year old me.
