question to people who know these sorts of things - how high of a priority kill do you think the gravedigger is tonight?
follow up - is your answer dependent on whether a witch or villager is lynched today?

I think waco and kai are town. proph is leaning town. citrus only null. (those are the best mechanic players outside of myself i would assume)

No chance i am giving a possible witchteam any hints on what to do tonight or explain mechanics to them.

I am the town nurse. I agree that the gravedigger is virtually always town. I will be giving him an extra life right now to ensure we get flip information tonight on the off chance that the witches have multiple kp and decide to kill him.

find another mislynch, witches. there are 3 of you in the remaining 11 players, assuming the gravedigger is town (the only scenario in which he's not that I can think of is that it was the discarded witch role so they know he won't be cc'd). the math actaully agrees with me that claiming here is fine because it helps town actually hone in on potential suspects and hit scum.

okay so let's do these in semi-order:

I'm town.

Aria is transparently newb town. Pretty confident about that. Also pretty sure witches have spewed her town at this point.

Plotless is strongly town for the way he resisted claiming and tried to kind of poke around the GD talk early. Read towny in a kind of "don't want to make a mistake" newb town way. Medium confident read, I think he'd have posted a bit more as town but IIRC he has RL stuff? In any case, not interested in lynching the claimed GD who's likely town.

Cobalt is pretty towny; I read some of that JTM WH game Von hosted (Eido and I had a fun time super skimming it and getting like 5 scum in 7 names or something, although that was 90% Eido). He's being the same kind of "towny helpful" w/r/t WH rules. Semi-moderate-read. Probably not out of his witch range? I dunno I've never seen him as scum.

Waco's town although I've had my moments of doubt. The difference in his meta seems pretty damn stark to me, but he's good enough to play around with that. I think I actually went after him in WH5 for doing his "lots of questions" -> "not really caring about the followup" thing which seems to be kinda what he's doing here?

Snowvon's probably town? The new Snowvon town meta is less bounce, more blunt. There's the same "he knew he could get townread by fluffing and didn't" tell but that loses its value when he's aware of it, so. I'll probably want to re-read him at some point. I think I'm okay with him for today?

Proph's proooobably town, although my respect for his scumgame is pretty off-the-charts right now. I haven't noticed anything one way or the other really. He's definitely Doing Towny Things, and I haven't noticed him doing An Overabundance of Towny Things which is kinda Proph's scumtell, so... town to null. Not interested in voting on him right now.

Kai is weird as fuck. He's definitely doing a Thing, and imma just let him keep doing it until I figure out what it is. <I actually typed a bunch out here and then erased it; I'm trying not to telegraph my reads like I did last game when I'm projecting them off a future action>. I'd run him up and see what happened if we had another 24 hours but that'll have to wait I think. Null, but not because I have no idea, it's because I have like 3 or 4 ideas. Ooh right that one post he had griping about lack of lynch votes was pretty scummy in a "look how much I care about the game" way.

I think Jan's probably mafia; I think as scum he tends to do broad-spectrum state of the game / cheer-leading "rah rah town everyone Do Things" actions more often and he's doing that here. OTOH I've never been particularly good at reading Jan.

Citrus could be mafia? He's low content with IRL stuff going on. So... meh. He had a really bad vote that I thought was really trying to look like he cared and just not pulling it off. Gut says he's town though. This read probably needs some work.

dLGN I thought was pretty damn scummy at first, very tonally different from last game. And he was making posts like this:

Just super wooden / careful / passive aggressive. Just like the way it's worded you feel like he's kind of tiptoeing around things when last game he was smashing into them, or something.

Buuut the way got run up / way he got pressure, like how people were talking about him makes me think he's actually town? Kinda feeling a "scum zeroing in on target of opportunity" thing here. And I've liked some of his recent posts.

Loch I could definitely see as mafia. I feel like Loch is trying to emulate her posting style from last game and not quite pulling it off.

Slippery is totally mafia.

That's a scumpost, brah. Slimy. Leaving outs. Lots of Slippery's posts are like this. Lot of meta talk, lot of talk about what he's doing and not doing, not really actually doing anything.

If people need more I'll dig into his ISO and do a real-ish case - I was scumreading him pretty much from the get-go following along - but I kinda feel like I don't need to? Go read it yourself. This guy is not trying to solve the game.

1. I agree that the gravedigger is virtually always town. such a bonkers role to take as a witch. potentially a useful claim if it was the role the witches discarded since they won't be cc'd, and they could use that to ridiculous advantage, but... let's just assume that crazy shit didn't happen.

2. the gravedigger would get the flip information tonight, 'we' being the assumed town gravedigger, who would out it tomorrow

3. i stated a scenario that they could have multiple kp, however unlikely. i don't know how crazy things tend to get in these games. but I did think that witches soup was a thing coming into this game for some reason. so multiple kp is also a leftover concept from that...

 

I dunno. I don't feel really solid about my Jan scumread. It's pretty meta, and it's a bit of a safety read after last game probably.

Jan I am reading you as villa for now but that doesn't mean your reads will be right. Thus when I say I want something of my own to read someone's alignment that's exactly what I meant. It actually isn't hard to understand.

I will hard claim not two roles today one is Gravedigger and the other is. Sorry my math is bad that's exactly one role. I don't feel like being voted on today regardless of my role. That's soft number eight which is the only bit of levity I am allowing in my game play for now.
