While watching the previous game makes me loathe to make any "betting on X town to win the game never rethinking" type statements, I do generally agree with this post

Let me ask you one question -

Based on who you're currently town/scumreading, and based on what I've done and what others have said about me this game, who am I with? I have two partners, right? Who are they? Because frankly from your PoV assuming you're town and your reads are honest, I don't think you can put me into a team that makes any kind of sense.

Other people, start doing things. I refuse to be a "we ran out of time" lynch . I am town, I spent four hours last night demonstrating it when I didn't even really want to play in the first place, and I've never been mislynched, ever. I refuse to let that happen based on other people not engaging.

i felt like he was the oracle earlier and pretty sure I even said it, and sure enough he claimed. he isn't counterclaimed so unless the witches got oracle and obviously discarded it because lolworthless, I think he's always real. i think oracle is a role that I could legitimately have given an extra life to without fear of them being a witch (and if it fizzled then nbd). mistakes were made but I misunderstood gravedigger. .___.

 

Citrus how the fuck do you not think that Jan could pull off that post as a witch? It's like 90% mechanics.

 

a billion percent this. at least in video, when jan is mafia he is capable of very towny mechanical talk and can even get very heated/emotional over it, which he uses effectively to get townread. while he's totally correct and I agree with him, it's null for him to be talking about it, at least to me.

specifically your treatment of me - that was also super fucking elite if you're a witch how you townsided by saying you didn't want to lynch me because I was contributing and giving reads/content today. that's just SO DIFFICULT if you have TMI that I am town when everybody else dislikes me. I think he and Jan willfully ignoring the biggest aspect of what I'm doing - like, my reads / mechanics may or may not be super accurate but I spent like 4 hours last night just going pure "this is what I think" 100% and they should both be able to read that or at least address it. Jan kinda has I guess? But the waffling it created read like a post out of last game.

Buuut Jan's attitude is a little more in line with his town meta, unfortunately? I think? - "you are bad" = town!Jan, "gamestate is bad" = scum!Jan, kinda. Not an absolute but it's entirely possible Jan's town here.

I dunno if Silp/Jan/Citrus really works as a team?

Possible Jan and Citrus are just mechanically seeing things differently because they know what's happening with Slip/Kai. Could be Jan/Citrus/X and Slip/Kai are both town?

Okay so running the other side of the equation. If Citrus is town then dLGN's town. If Jan's town then both Citrus and Jan are being honest about their weird mechanics stuff, so maybe Slip and Kai are still town, but in that case like who the fuck is even mafia? Like - Snowvon/Proph/Loch? That's not impossible, I guess?

I dunno Slip just seems behaviorally totally mafia to me. When I was reading the game before replacing in he had a couple posts where I thought to myself "man if I had a daykill nothing could stop me from just shooting him for that." Which admittedly is over the top since I wasn't playing and there were no stakes, but like.

I don't get the town/town fakeclaim really. It's like what Citrus did in TH5 - he forgot one thing, that witches knew Citrus/Sesc were both town. It made what was happening super obvious to me as a witch. Why would you do some weird fakeclaim shit when it's way more likely to confuse town than mafia? I can't tell if this is just a playstyle thing. I know videomafia people do fakeclaims and then take them back all the time, but to me that is just not good mafia. Like you try that shit on FS, you get punted into the stratosphere and say what you want about FS, they play to win.

I objectively don't care what Kai is doing at the moment. Either he is a villa making a play which means my read on him is correct or he is a witch. Jan counter claiming gave me for a certain witch but his rescind of that claim fits more in line with my read of the game.

I am trying to decide if the witches are hard aligning this game or not as it makes the game easy in that case so it would be Newcomb , Prophylaxis and plus one.

Prophylaxis had this all important question that must be answered from me. When I asked for the question to be stated clearly. It wasn't but that was used as an excuse to vote on me. Then the quotes where one is clearly talking about Snowvon not dLGN was also used as an excuse to justify throwing scum on me.

I am confused by what is going on. He was certain I was a witch with dLGN a possible partner then says he hasn't really read the thread. He sided with Jan against me then appealed to Kai to hard claim. He also was making a world of Jan , myself and plotless.

One of the reasons I am reading Kai as villa is because of reading Newcomb as scum He appealed to him to claim since as a witch he knows I am villa , likely Jan is villa and Kai is likely villa unless it's a really weird world when Jan and Kai are both witches which I am not going to believe in. Jan has rescinded so now Newcomb has to get a push on me through via Kai claiming at this point.

Citrus has claimed Oracle on dLGN at this point and is volunteering to die in his place which moves my meh on him to more villa. The snowstorm is disrupting this low key game despite the excitement from yesterday which I enjoyed a lot.

I'm Priest , dLGN is confirmed the nurse ,plotless is confirmed the gravedigger and Citrus is the oracle. I'm villa, dLGN is villa, and citrus is likely villa so that leaves plotless who is aligning with Newcomb and Prophylaxis. The extra life means it useless today to care about plotless's alignment.

I'm not dying today and kaidash is not dying today.

Who do you think is scum? Talk me through your townreads. Give me what you think of players. You've spent quite a few posts recently saying things that I mechanically disagree with, and then you've also said behavior trumps mechanics for you, while trying to just lynch in CC's of priests (even though Jan and I have given distinct and different reasons for why that's not necessarily a good choice to do).

I certainly felt similarly off about her first post, and my ^found one was an honest scumlean on her combined with a joke about rubicon/jan from last game. she came across as very enthusiastic last game and talked about being rusty etc. and while that's obviously less the case this game, there was some enthusiasm or elaboration that I'd expect that was missing.

since then she's done more of what she did last game - drop by the thread, talk about some IRL things, return, post about catching up, ask a couple questions, seem relaxed... seems kinda towny. but I could be sold on the whole emulating her MM6 game read, if presented well.

also she didn't get defensive about my scumread on her which was impressive and also her reaction to my fake red check on her last game when my vigi shot was roleblocked and I thought she had been angeled. my only paranoid fear is that she was well coached and kind of defused me by townreading me while her partner(s) were the ones to come at me harder today (jan, proph, slip, x?)
