Does anyone know if this story is still up anywhere? I've run a few searches and i can't seem to find it, but i'm holding out hope that the name was changed, or possibly a rewrite.

This story is actually posted on HPFanFicArchive. Apparently, it was loaded there on February 20th of this year.

There are 4 chapters there, coming to a total of about 17k words. The writing is filled with errors ranging from (lack of) punctuation to tense shifts. The story is nothing special: Harry is abandoned by the Dursleys at the age of 5. They drop him on the street in some random place which just happens to be the front yard of some ex-auror type who finds him, recognizes him, and decides to train him.

The story's abandoned, is very short, is written poorly, and revolves around the idea that Harry is picked up by a random OC ex-auror. I'd give it a 2/5, and I feel even that's being overly generous. Perhaps it was kept around because of the newb-flaming which dominated the thread?

 

Hahahahaha. No wonder the guy deleted his story. A wizard war veteran happens to randomly meet Harry Potter on the street?
