I kind of agree with this. I sort of saw this coming, so I was gonna try and fakeclaim a night role ability but then I realized that with all the roleclaiming, there was no night role ability left. The claim would have just been too easy.

What I got from looking at game 1:

1. Kai fell into the same trap I do when I'm scum - which is, make a lot of big posts every couple of days or so. Since it was a 48 hour Day game? or something, that kind of playstyle is much more of a liability as scum.

2. Kai was a lot less trolly and fun that game as opposed to this one.

I know the dangers of relying on meta, but I think Kai's just town? Hasn't really behaviorally pinged me outside of the counterclaim incident which was just bizarre. Not done with my reread, but yeah.

Going to sleep at 11pm (my local time) and then waking up at 7am to 150+ new posts makes 'infrequent large posts' a necessity rather than a choice. I don't think I was posting less than daily though.

I am really unsure what to think about proph getting us to lynch cobalt at EoD.
Not that Cobalt played that well, but as i said yesterday, lynching someone that cant even properly defend himself is just bad taste, and i had no townread on LochNess or Snowvon at the time.

Considering the townreads I already have, i don't believe there is no scum between LochNess and Snowvon.

There is the plotless problen, who played completly underwhelming so far.

If he is scum, then we are fucked (or might be). If he is town then we are in a good position.

I will articulate some more thought about that later. Basically just woke up and have to do some other stuff for an hour before i can get into the game.

 

I'm awake again and will say I did not check dLGN or Citrus which would be the worst and second worst checks of all time. I did not check Citrus because his alignment only confirms DLGN and his own at the best.

 

Good start, but let's wait for snowvons reveal first.

Then we will move on to the priests and their checks.

Ok my phone just died, postponing the important call by an hour.

I think there is a high likeliness of proph being scum together with one of von and Lochness.

Finding the third one is the hard part.


I am also dismissing the plotless is scum and scum have apprentice/gravedigger and discarded gravedigger world.
Because in that world the judge would have most likely died (unless judge is scum in that world as well).
Noone would have known that said person is the judge and plotless would be oh so save with his 2 lives.

Killing within dLGN/Citrus is always to reduce townfirms, while dLGN was not townfirmed before they were both hard townread at the end of day 1.

Keeping both of them alive is a big risk for scum, and killing within the priestclaims is a big risk as well (outs the scum if one of them is scum, and a big risk of angelsave anyway).

If i were scum I would have killed Lochness, if she was town, because if the priest checked her then we will get 2 more townfirms, which is not something scum can afford.

That is another thing that makes me feel really unsure about LochNess.
Either scum feel rly good about getting her misslynched today, or she is just scum .. or they are just not that clever.
The Watchmen is the 2nd best kill right after the priest n1 (and the non outed oracle, but that is not a thing this game).

Regarding Proph - his progression on the EoD wagons had a wrinkle I remember where I pushed him for a Cobalt case and he said:

It's not a great push, but that's kind of the point? Like he straight up said "I don't have time for a case, but I did see X and I think Snow and Loch are town." Like, that was kinda my mindset too at EoD, just trying to frantically grab onto one or two things.

It seems pretty natural, and I kinda tend to think scum!Proph would swing a bigger bat with regard to scumreading Cobalt - like, he'd have gone harder or had bullet points. I feel like he'd really want to sell that it's believable that he really thinks Cobalt is scum.

I dunno that might be a whiff - I don't have a great track record with using the "I think they'd have done X differently as scum" tell, but... kinda still think Proph's town?

 

Cobalt was the easy possible (miss)lynch yesterday, because he already said that he is busy working, which means he wont be able to defend himself well.

Prophs townread von said that he thinks cobalt is town, didnt want to vote on him AND gave a reason why he thought coablts scum/not townread on aria made sense.

So proph kinda dismantled his own scumread on cobalt if he believes von is town.
That jsut doesnt make any sense for town!proph in my book.

He made the push on cobalt happen yesterday, and you really didnt want him to die.

 

Didn't like it in the sense that I thought Cobalt was town, but I understand why he made the push happen. He even asked other people to weigh in on it.

Honestly, I think the lynch only went through because people wanted keep my role around and turned to Cobalt as a compromise, since Gambler isn't really much of a loss. :/

 

Can you explain to me why you used the power the way you did?

 

It was randomized 50/50.

I think I saw Kai say I should randomize it between Gravedigger and Watchman.

So I did!

When I first got the role, I thought it would probably be better to use later in the game when there was more information out and about, and honestly, using it on a Gravedigger I was townreading is meh, but. There was some semblance of a plan that I didn't want to deviate from.
