To be honest I haven't seen any footage and that video is a couple of months old. However, a couple of pictures and a synopsis have been released.

I'll admit the trailer makes Suicide Squad better than I thought it would be. But still, it's just a trailer for now, and I still hate Leto-Joker.

Assassin's Creed... really isn't that great a game or story in the first place (the first one anyway), so I highly doubt the movie could even possibly be good. Also, I kind of like Michael Fassbender, but he really doesn't look like Altair or whoever the guy is in the present day, I forget his name.

The way I understand it, the movie doesn't follow the plot of the games. It is inspired by it and even set in the same universe though. Fassbender is playing another guy captured by Abstergo, named Callum Lynch, whose ancestor was an Spanish assassin in the 15th century.

Also, the guy directing this is the guy who directed Macbeth (starring Fassbender and Cotillard as well)so I'm really excited for the film.

It's been a good, long while since I have ever disagreed with a post as utterly and completely as I do this one.

    Ok.

In other news, we may perhaps be seeing the end of shitty Terminator sequels. And there was much rejoicing.

(To be fair I did sort-of like Salvation, but even then we're talking like a 5/10.)

Saw The Big Short and Hateful Eight this weekend.

As for the latter, it's a QT ass QT movie. Even slower than you'd expect up until hit intermission. Of all his movies, it's obviously easiest to compare it to Django, which I preferred, but that had Christoph Waltz... So yeah.

As for The Big Short? I loved it. It was the best horror movie I've seen in years. Steve Carell, who I'm normally not a fan of, was particularly brilliant.

Don't be scared to watch it if you don't get economics and finances (I sure as hell don't), the movie does a brilliant job of dumbing everything down without being patronizing.

Holy Crap, there's actually an Assassin's Creed movie in the works?

Just did a quick google search and turns out it's not starring Altair, Ezio, Connor or even Desmond but rather completely new characters.

I don't like that. But hey, anything's better than Connor so I'll take what I can get.

Oh, I just saw some promotional stills and assumed it was adapting the first game.

I'd be way more excited for the AssCreed movie (or anything in the franchise, really) if the modern day story was actually going anywhere.

I mean really, how can you top the apocalypse? The whole "keeping up with real-time during the game's release" thing has lost its luster.

The main draw for me is the maps, since I'm a sucker for open-world games.

That could be intentional. There was a narrative time jump between the Ludlum written Bourne books, and those written by the writing team after Ludlum's demise.

That said, the man is 45. We've watched him age 20 years since Good Will Hunting. He also spent two years on Mars supremely malnourished. Give the guy a break, Rep.

I know we've watched the guy for decades, but until recently I was of the opinion that Damon was affected by the Keanu Phenomenon of agelessness.

Clearly he passed it on to someone else. The question is who....

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick that looks like a piece of shit.

There's literally nothing good in this trailer.

I feel like that make-a-wish kid must have felt when instead of Murry and Aykroyd and Morranis some fat chicks showed up.
