I wouldn't play ranked until you have at least 3 different champions in two different roles that you are very very comfortable playing with. After that, it's fine. Just don't have too much expectations on where you "should" be, and you'll eventually get to a good rank.

Finally got the guts to get my first placement.

I get a powercut 28 minutes in. Log back into League maybe 2, 2 & a half minutes later and my team just flat out surrendered the game 35 seconds after I dc'd.

There was a 1k gold difference.

Are you fucking real... This is totally gonna help my queue anxiety out. Fucks sake.

    Edit:

Swain top's still hilariously fun though, unfortunately whe I out-damage out our farmed Trist, well, not much else to say.

Yeah, Swain and Anivia are both champions that fall into the "really broken but not enough people play them cause they suck" so never gets nerfed.

Pretty much every mage that can build roa and not suffer for it is in a good spot atm.

More like pretty much every mage (not assassins) can build ROA right now.

So... had a very good win streak going, a good W/L ratio at ~66% since I started ranked this season, and just ruined everything with 3 losses in a row. Probably at risk of being dropped back down to Silver IV now. I'm playing with a lot of golds as well, so my MMR was decent. Not sure how badly the three losses in a row affected it though.

I'm pretty tilted, to be honest. I've been banking on Nasus to win me my games, and almost always choose him top, or sometimes mid if I don't get my top slot. I've never lost a game with Nasus mid yet, even though I sometimes tilt teammates in lobby with the pick. It works because I never die in lane due to lifesteal and tankiness, and the opposing mid laner never really becomes a huge damage dealer for their team in mid game.

But the second of those three losses I went Nasus mid against a Diana. I was doing as well as I possibly could be doing, taking some damage from her ranged abilities, but mostly healing it back up off of minions. She had pushed the wave to my tower, so I was happily farming under it before my Elise jg had to gank. I engaged the Diana, but Elise decided to do scuttle or something and for some reason took her time in getting to lane, so I died pretty fast to her combo + ignite.

I didn't rage, I just politely asked that she not gank my lane anymore. Nasus doesn't need kills to get big, he needs to simply farm well and not die. That's easy if you don't engage the enemy laner. She didn't listen. She came in again, and again I died. After that it was pretty much over. Diana got enough AP and level advantage to make my lifesteal and meager tank items worthless -- but that didn't stop Braum from roaming and trying to gank for me, despite my many pings not to and typing no in chat. He flash, ulted, forced me to help, and I died when the opposing bot came up and helped her. Then for some reason, both top laners just left their lane to roam everywhere, so Garen was always in my lane, killing me, while my Cho'gath was eating some jungle minions to get health.

Then my entire team blamed me for taking Nasus mid. -_-

So this happened. Our Diana mid got shut down pretty hard in laning but didn't tilt and roamed with me a lot and we just fucked their world.

Played my promos to get out of Bronze this weekend.

Game 1: I went Anivia mid, our Nasus got first blood, then somehow proceeds to lose lane. He neither splitpushes nor helps out other lanes, so I'm constantly being camped by Garen and Kha after killing TF. We lose badly.

Game 2: Alistar support. We're winning and at their inhibs when we get aced and just tilt off the face of the earth. Another loss.

Game 3: Must win to get to Silver. I go Alistar support again, and this time when we get the lead we don't throw and get an easy win.

Game 4: Lulu support. Entirely coincidentally, we end up running a JuggerVayne comp, with Poppy top, Gragas jg, Lux mid. Vayne gets super fed, and despite being almost aced twice by trying to set up a death bush on top of a ward when Vayne is busy splitpushing, we're just too far ahead for them to do anything.

Game 5: Morgana support. Our Malphite DCs level 1, so I go top to cover his lane. Panth gets overaggressive, blows flash and ignite trying to kill me, and chases me into the jungle where Ahri, Vi and Malph (who reconnected) murder him. Malph manages to set up a freeze and Vi camps for him. Ahri is godlike, and Ashe and I are constantly under their Ez/Soraka lane's turrets with them looking at gray screens. Complete stomp.

Nautilus is a monster right now. Take him top, jungle or support and just watch them try to make it out of your CC, or past the insane peel you provide.

7 game ranked winstreak. Currently in Gold IV 25 LP. I attribute all of my success to blue Ezreal.

Nautilus is indeed pretty fearsome Top, but i'm not seeing the appeal of him as a support. I've been shredding ranked as support Lulu lately (35/18, currently plat 3) and the Peel-from-carries thing is working pretty well, along with Lulu's shield and ult. But even with all these tools it's hard getting all the assassins and tanks off my carry, so i wouldn't even know what to do with Naut support late game. Braum(i don't play him), Leona, Tahm(don't play him yet), even Trundle all seem like much better choices. But maybe that's just me.

    Hey I'm Diamond again.

Special shout out to frantic for making me doubt myself, DarkSyaoran for emotional support, and Lungs for game ANALysis.

PS. Mishie's advice is almost always the worst.

Eh, back into Plat after placements put me at Gold 1(*cough* 3:7 placements *cough*), and a couple of stunted promos. Path of Exile pseudo-expansion just came out, and I'm also fiddling a bit with the Gigantic beta that I just got into, so I don't expect to climb further very quickly.

Still sitting in low gold, but lack of time/desire to play means I haven't played a whole lot of games.
