Nope. I stumbled across the Little Italy subforum after about a year of lurking on the site and taking advantage of the library. My first five or so forum games were here. I'm pretty shy outside of competitive contexts, so I generally stick to rating stories instead of reviewing.

 

Heard the name of this forum mentioned over at Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity a few months back. Decided to finally have a look and decided to register.

 

I wanted to read the santi's hp and the bwl. Heard i could access in wba.

 

Pretty sure it was when reading Wastelands of Time years ago, Joe mentioned it several times in author's notes and I got curious. I like the types of stories that many others people on this site enjoy and promote but I haven't really gotten involved in the community yet.

 

I kinda always knew about DLP (since it is such a fixture in the HP fanfic community), but never really bothered with it I guess? Guess that one wasn't an option in the poll, so here.

 

Basically i was reading Harry Potter and the Boy Who Lived by The Santi and he stopped posting on ff.net, so i came here for the last few chapters

their was no epic story of discovery heire; I sadly found it thru the google search engine. I was reading up aboot peeps's theories on Rowling's system of magic and found myself heire reading a few written by Taure. And dat was it.

 

I was just Googling dark harry potter stories a few months ago and eventually stumbled across DLP. I finally joined yesterday.

 

Just through FF.net, from the author's bio that recommended DLP. Also I think s/he recommended the DLP's 5-starred and featured authors thing. Might have been nonjon, can't remember

 

Saw it mentioned several times on FF.Net, both in comments and AN. Then I spent a couple of months surfing the Library for good fics and getting an idea of how it works before joining.

 

Like most people, I found it on lists recommending good fanfictions.

 

I was reading (and immensely enjoying) "Harry Potter and the Boy who Lived" by The Santi on ff.net, and... reached the end. I was deeply saddened until I found out that there are five more chapters on DLP. So of course I had to register!

 

Same here. Undoubtedly one of the best fics I've read and I kept on seeing that the author referred to DLP so curious I searched the site and found out that it was a HP fanfiction site. Decided to join after a quick browse-through.

 

i would say that was my reason for joining up but ive known about this site for a few years. i cant quit recall how i heard of this site but i believe it was doing a google search for a hp story i was looking for. this site was among many which has that story. funny thing is i think that was how i was introduce to fanfic.net which also contained that story.

 

Was the strangest thing, I google'd Harry and this was the first website.

 

Rec'ed enough times on Reddit that I finally popped over to see what the fuss was about.

 

I thought a lot of people on reddit found the crowd here on DLP too tough for their tastes?
