Nice penmanship considering he lost his writing hand. Maybe he had someone write it for him.

Think he had Cersei write "Oh btw, my sister is gonna kill all of you"?. Somehow, i don't find that very plausible.

That's sarcasm my friend. My best bet is Sir Braun the guy who went with him in the first place.

Unfortunately I can't download a bootleg until tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be the highlight of the weekend.

I found the episode to be pretty decent. On a rewatch, I noticed a few interesting little sneaky bits too.

Was that Aegon in the previews for the next episode? Or was that Rhaegar?

Neither. Young Ned (Stark armor / Sean Bean's Yorkshire accent) and Arthur Dayne (Targaryen armor) exchanging pleasantries before the Tower of Joy fight.

R+L=J is happening next week :fire

Completely didn't pay enough attention to the preview of that scene and just let my mind jump to conclusions :facepalm

Looks like next episode is when shit truly starts getting interesting. Can't wait.

ALL ABOARD H.M.S HYPE TOOOT TOOOOT

If the red priestess can be as old as she is it also backs up the fan theory that Quaithe is related to Aegon. The main concern was how old she would have to be. GET ON THE FUCKING HYPE BOAT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

How many Leeches did Mellisandre burn? Can we count Balon as the last person to suffer from the curse?

It was obvious Jon would be back, but I'm glad he is.

Over all a decent episode not great but better then the last one.

The Northernstoryline was to rushed and why the fuck is the Lord of the Karstarks named Harald?
I mean we have 11 Karstarks in the books, of 8 we have names, none named Harald.
I undstand the need to compress the Karstarks but why not give him a "book name"?
Nice that the Umbers and Manderlys were mentioned I still hope for a "The North remembers speach" but after seeing the episode 3 preview I think they will fuck up the Northernstoryline next episode.

    The Iron Islandstoryline was okay.
Euron was good the quotes from the book were great but Crow's eye without the eye-patch? Come on!
And how the fuck does Balon know that Stannis is dead? He died just a few days a go and I don't think the Bolton's would send a Raven to Pyke, they are still at war with each other, even if they could it is Winter!

Kings Landing was good if for no other reason then that Tommen got some much needed character development.
Jaime in the Sept of Baelor was nice.
Frankly I didn't really get why UnGregor did what he did, sure the scene was kind of funny but still didn't get the why, he was just a drunk.

Meereen was kind of ehhh, a standard Tyrion dickless-joke, some refrence of his book knowledge, his childhood fascination with Dragons all nice and well done but why did he ask Missandai if the Dragons ever hurt her and then takes Varys with him?

Arya in Braavos was rushed as usual but I guess the show has to cramp her book 4&5 storyline plus the new stuff in just 10 episodes so I guess it is okay.

Wun Wun at the Wall was a nice homage to Jon's last Dance with Dragons chapter.
Still don't know why Davos is now Jon's number one fan but hey at least he forgot all about Stannis and Shireen in the last 2 days.
I don't know what to think of the rest on one side Mel's plea at the end was a nice touch, maybe since we all but knew that Jon would be "undead" I kind of expected a bit more

And then there is Dorne I mean WOW only mentioned for a few seconds and still a fuck up.
Trystane was supposed to be on his return trip, then how the fuck does Tommen know about his death? And if he stayed in KL why didn't Cersei send UnGergor for a nice "visit"?

Is it just me or does the preview show that the Umbers will deliver Rickon to Ramsey?

Holy shit you guys were right that Melisandre might have been having a crisis of faith. My first reaction to that discussion earlier in the thread (which I almost expressed, but now I'm glad I didn't) was "Who, Mel? Fanatical Mel whose worship of R'hllor defines her entire existence? Surely it can't be", but then again it's a common sight in ASoIaF to trigger some character development through making characters lose what was dearest to them -- Jaime and his hand, Starks and family/honor, Sansa and innocence, and now Mel and her faith...

That scene when one dragon shows Tyrion his own collar after he freed the other dragon was... very endearing, somehow. "Hey, where you goin', me too, me too!" :D

Holy fuck, the Faith Militant. I didn't think too much of their strength until after tens of armed men show up out of nowhere the second the High Septon is being threatened.

Roose went down waaay too easily, and all the dimwits around respond way too quickly to a "change in leadership". I wouldn't even be surprised if he wasn't mortally wounded, but played dead just to see what Ramsay does with his legacy a few hours after his supposed death. Probably not, tho'.

Interesting to see Tommen's development in this episode. So after all there might be a lion lurking beneath that kitten facade. Wonder how this will play out in the books.

Jon's resurrection was pretty "meh", everybody saw it coming from a mile, and it didn't even play out in any sort of "wowzah" scenarios like those imagined by fans. Can't wait to see whether there's anything left of the old personality in unJon. Sansa was heading towards Castle Black, wondering whether unJon is going to be as welcoming towards her as we might have expected Jon to be.

I really liked this episode, though Tommen continues to grate on my nerves because he's such a pussy. Now Ramsay, there's a murderous lord Westeros deserves. He's a much better Joffrey than Joffrey ever was. I don't even dislike him anymore. Fuck it, I'm rooting for him to win, even if that means Sansa will have to suffer. #TeamRamsay

Tyrion's moment with the dragons was great. The scene before it kinda meh with the inevitable dick joke. Tyrion needs to get laid.

The Mountain (Ser Whathisface Now) should just roll into the Sept and slaughter the Faith Militant. Cersei seems to have lost some of her bite. I honestly expected her to order Nountain to steamroll the Lannister guards when they stopped her from leaving. On the other hand, Jamie seems to be boiling under the surface.

I'm glad Jon is back, but I thought they would do something cool with his resurrection. I was just waiting for either Ghost to suddenly move (which he did), the wounds to close (which actually they didn't) and/or the typical "back from the dead" moment, which is usually one of two things: eyes open to a loud sudden noise, or the full wide-eyed gasp, which is what we got.

All the rest, Bran, Sansa, Pyke was good. Although I can't help but feel that the deaths in this episode lacked the oomph of the earlier seasons, no doubt because GoT conditioned me to expect it and I never rooted for Balon and Roose the way I did for Robb or Oberyn.

So yeah, I have complaints, but the episode was baller.
