That's not literaly- Japanese is full of those kinds of descriptions. Something was powerful enough to be able to do this and this ( in this case, Kyuubi was so powerful to blah blah blah, you get the point)- is a form that you see a lot in Japanese fiction.

Mythological figures in Japan are usually forces of nature or avatars of them, more of less. So what Kishimoto intended when he used that description was that when Kyuubi swung his tails, the force generated by them were able to raise the seas into tidal waves.

 

The Kyuubi was never actually clarified as to what element he was. The only reason most people think of him as fire elemental is that h'es;

A. In fire country.

B. Has red fur.

 

Er, Sorry I let fanon get the better of me. But I was really going off the fact that the Kyuubi chakra supposedly burns.

I'm not sure if thats canon or fanon though.

If you go by Japanese folkore, kitsune in general are attune with fire and lightning.

Got into the swing of things.

 

On god-like Naruto with super abilities there are good ones. Namely Foxhound by Kraken, not sure if its on here yet but if you havn't at least heard of it you need to be shot.

 

That fic has to be one of the first fics to ever inspire other authors to write fics like his. Too bad he left it. Truly a powerful fic.

 

Yea on the plus side he hasn't left the fandom entirely. He just started another challenge I believe, maybe we'll get lucky and get another good fic from that.

Well it seems to be off to a good start in my humble opinion. However I hope this doesnt turn into an angstfest/all powerful dark Naruto who can kill everyone with a look. It only has 2 chapters so I guess we'll see yeah?

 

That Blood Mage story, in my opinion, sucks. Standard cliche of the 'mask', Naruto being ridiculously overpowered at a young age, a random bloodline ability. Naruto needs no bloodline.

 

I don't mind if he has a bloodline limit or not, but this Bloodline is just stupid and the story sucks really

 

Has Naruto here the blood whip as Bloodline?
I somehow thought this Bloodline was funny.
For the story I must say if you ignore the plot you may get a decent dark Naruto kills everyone fic, but well, i doubt it.

 

This does it for me and it is only the seconded paragraph. I mean come on hanging out with Itachi, being told about the Kyubbi(in the next paragraph). Overall a bad fic, I would recommend to stay away from this one.

Ehm no...it's really just bad -.-
I still can't believe I fought through two whole chapters of this crap. It's a compilation of many many bad things you could do to a story:

overpowered 6-year-old and enemies are all pathetically weak losers

bad writing - not really sp and gr, but just unpleasant to read

characters totally underdeveloped, cliched and bashed to the extreme

Naruto is cliched and contradictory - the whole mask business; wanting to kill Itachi but deliberately failing to become a genin for 3 times; saying that killing Itachi is everything to him but that he isn't living for revenge; saying he wants to see the whole village in pain but at the same time suddenly becoming 'mature' (never hurt innocents, bla bla) ... ... it goes on and on

Hanabi is utterly OC, probably the worst try to pull a pairing off that I've ever seen - he sees her, she greets him with a challenge for him, they fight (the fight is btw totally ridiculous), she stops the fight 'cause the animals get scared, he gets a fuzzy feeling inside

the bloodline is crappy but everyone stares in awe at it - it's an enhanced whip, nothing more...however, it's always like 'WTF?! A whip of blood! Let's get hit by it!'

that's not everything, but I listing all of it is too much pain right now

Just keep in mind that it's bad and that spoiling like I did is actually a favor to anyone intending to read it. -.-

@Mercenary: Don't worry...I've read worse stuff and I even liked some of it back then for some unfathomable reason. =/

Ok, I know this fic only has one chapter so far, and is a wee bit shorter than most would perfer. But this fic seems to have a very acurate view on the Kyuubi. I.e no "Kit lets fuse!" And more. "Filthy mortal, I'll manipulate you with my superior intellect."

Give it a shot. Its not bad, and he's pretty good for a beginner.

 

Not bad. Not bad at all. I like the story, but he left it hanging when it comes to his transformation. Can't wait for more.
