The shhhhh here was Fonti insisting that she wasn't the cop again? Which I found a bit odd.

This was most of the exchange between me and Citrus Prophylaxis though I didn't do a PBPA on him.

Yeah I think I pointed it out somewhere - I proposed a Sloth/Von/Demon team and then immediately said "wait no" because that would be a pretty ???? hellbus. That + all the kind of towny awkward / helpful stuff Demon has done.... ehhhh can't really see it.

How does one go from seriously surprised if this person is scum (i.e. a townread) to literally getting nothing at all from them and making a half-assed unaligned pair without committing to any kind of read? This thought process doesn't really make sense to me and is what I was referring to about the Citrus shooting defense for Sloth D1 angle.

 

Regarding the sloth-questionposts I asked cobalt about: My takeaway on them was that sloth was aiming to do something with font and he was trying to force citrus into an awkward position regarding her, specifically:

I feel like sloths play in those three was trying to stop the townblock forming given his push against newcomb townreading me and his emphasis on going after font.

I think given his postion there he'd be fucking citrus over if he was a teammate and the 1st question he asks

Feels too specific and aggressive for w/w

I can go cobalt or kai today (and ultimately if neither were scum I'd go citrus)

Cobalt being breezy is A Thing but given that he considered replacing out it may not be a slam dunk deal and his focus on citrumal is hrm

Like I can see his angle yesterday being something town would think (was def my thought at the time) but it's also a fairly simple angle for scum to hammer at?

You're completely misreading what Citrus wrote there by ignoring half the sentence.

He wasn't saying that he would be suprised if Sloth was scum.

He was saying that in the world where Sloth was scum, he'd be surprised if Sloth was neglecting to post just because "he was scared".

There were good reasons to be scumreading Sloth at that point. Lurking wasn't one of them, which was proven pretty well by Sloth replacing out.


On a separate note, I think its funny you quote that post. Because the vote right there is part of why I was townreading Citrus before replacing in. Let's look at a couple votals:

Would Citrus really lock in Snowvon as the counterwagon right there?

He could have pushed Sloth higher to try to make it look inevitable and maybe collapse.

He could have helped push a wagon on Demon or Miner.

Instead, right there, you're saying that basically decided to stake the game on him winning Final 3, or Sloth recovering and playing better on Day2? Especially when the Snowvon push might not have worked and Sloth might have gotten lynched anyways?

 

I took a look at Sloth's old scum game (Are You A Werewolf) and looked specifically at his interactions with Dermon, his scumbuddy.

What I noticed is that Sloth was kind of throwing softballs at Dermon; Sloth was kind of quietly poking at Dermon by asking him a question or so but never actually full on interrogating him.

If I get a chance to reread this game I'll check, but Acio: When I skimmed Sloth's posts in his old scum game I could swear he did something pretty exact to Dermon in that game. I'll dig it out again if needed.

Even though Kai's behavior is pretty bad (I'd assume) I think fonti tracking him makes him very likely town, because Modgaming, and I know that Eido has used a tracker role like that (as a cop once there's one final scum left). I'd be pretty surprised if he used a Ninja.

That VCA isn't from the thread; Mal did it himself.

Which means that as scum, he'd have to fake replacing in overnight, doing independent VCA, then getting frustrated because there was nothing there, then also kind of a "well where do we go from here" tone.

That would be.... well that would be some pretty damn brilliant scumplay.

I think it's probably just as simple as Kai no-killed last night because it would be really unlike him to do so because his mechanical scumplay is excellent (making a No-Kill an excellent move, weirdly enough.)

With an outside shot that Kai is the Scum Rolecop and copped fonti N1, which would be, lol. Actually kind of possible. (The implication being Kai found out she was tracker N1, and knew that no-killing would pseudo clear him today).

Think this is a best shot we have for a clean sweep.

ugh wait no it wouldn't because protect + No Kill is possible. But like. Is that even a likely world AT ALL. I kind of don't think it is.

Practically everything I said and did last phase involved believing Fonti's cop claim and thinking she was denying it to cover her own ass. I couldn't have pointed a "I'm gonna protect her" sign harder if I tried.

Previous minis have had Daychat (sometimes only to a certain day, but not cutting off D2). I don't see why this one wouldn't.

 

And here's what's gonna happen.

We're gonna lynch somebody today. If we aren't correct, I'm going to be randomizing my protection between either myself or Fontisian tonight, and Fonti is going to track me.

Either the last scum shoots Fonti to try and get her dead before she can confirm my target publicly next day (which could potentially result in ANOTHER night with no death), or they try and shoot me to get a potential townfirm out of the way.

Or they avoid us both altogether and we have two solid confirmed towns, at which point the game is basically lock clear.

I was lol'ing and pretending to be vanilla until necessary but I figure now is as good a time as any.
