I just got the first volume of the remade Hellsing series (Hellsing Ultimate Series) and I thought it was great. It is supposed to be much more inline with the manga and is the creator's "original" design for the series. I wonder at the rest of your opinions.

Also, can anyone tell me when volume 2 comes out?

 

Is it out in the US, or did you get a fansub version off the net? I didn't mind the orginal so much, but I'd like to see what was changed. Where can I get a copy?

 

Yes it is out in the US. I bought it at Wal-Mart.

If the Torrent thingy give me an error message, does that mean I don't have a Bittorrent?

 

Do you have a bittorrent download program? I use burst, and it is fairly easy to use. It can be found here: BURST

Download and Install that, and try again.

I just put the DVD on Netflix list, will get back to this thread once I've seen it. Unless it takes too long to get to me.

Got it yesterday, it was pretty awesome. I liked the confrontation between Alucard and Anderson much more in this. In the first version police girl wasn't used for comic relief quite like she is used in this one, that was one thing I didn't like too much. All in all, still an awesome series, the episodes they revamped look much better.

 

Episode 2 is fucking ACE!
Overall it is pretty sweet, but the fight scenes are definitely the best parts. The only thing I really don't like with Ultimate is the use of so many CG scenes.
If you guys want to torrent them and don't mind Subs, I would suggest looking on the Mahou site.

I just saw Ep.s 1 and 2 on YouTube. Loved them. They're much closer to the manga, and Anderson looks like he's actually going to be a match for Alucard here.

That's not saying much...
Anyway, Anderson IS cool, he's just nowhere near as badass as Alucard.
I mean, it's pretty much impossible to kill Alucard. Even when Abe defeats Alucard in the 1800s he still doesn't die. He's just that awesome.
