Found it. It was The Broken Victory, almost 14 years old actually. Aged fairly well when compared to other fics.

 

I am hoping someone knows what this fanfiction is called because it is one of my favourites and I can't find it anywhere! It was originally posted on fanfiction and was an AU were Harry's parents chose not to join the order and drifted away from their friends. Harry isn't the BWL, Neville is, but when he was a baby there was an accident in his mother's work which affected his magic. The Potter's were sued and lost most of their fortune and had to move to a wizarding village, which I think was called Were. Harry has brothers and a sister in this fanfiction but because the family lost all of its money they couldn't afford to send their children, except for their youngest to Hogwarts. The village is attacked by death eaters and the Potter's survive due to Harry's magic, they are then relocated with the few survivors to Hogwarts. I think Harry is mistaken as a death eater as well but I can't remember much more about this fanfiction. If anyone can help I'd be so grateful!
