Try soloQ, you're seemingly paired against other soloQers and you (or at least I do) win most games.

I get a huge kick out of the Pharah and Mercy as moms with their garbage gamer daughter trend.

That meme is the "Sky-Lesbian" meme team, because people love having Mercy trail along behind Pharah through the sky.

I like Rocket Angel more, as far as ship names go. Still, adding D.Va as their daughter is so random but for reasons I am unable to explain I'm freaking loving it xD

In the Beta and until 2 days ago, my laptop was running Overwatch at around 80c, but now it gets over 90c. Is it really just a clean my laptop issue or is that a bug?

So I finally broke down and bought the game because all of my mates got it. The game's main mode is so fundamentally unbalanced it's just unfunny. The attacking side, if both teams are equally skilled, has such an overwhelming advantage you should never lose a payload match. It needs a rework before competitive is released.

The game's skill ceiling needs to be raised a bit more in my opinion as it stands right now the gameplay is rather shallow. The natural divide found between players in games like CSGO and Quake feels rather small here. Widow Maker is just about the only character where it exists and can be exploited.

That said I'm having fun with the game. The visuals and the sound design is great and so too is the gameplay on the surface level. I'm glad I picked it up so can pub around and have a lark with my friends.

Running around with McCree and abusing my right click is hilarious. It's like I'm a yellow dervish of death.

    Saw this here

The average composition of teams in online games:

    The enemy team:

An escaped government killbot: This murderous machine literally can’t stop killing, but fortunately for the public it has acquired a console through unknown means and fulfills its purpose in a digital environment. Unfortunately for your team, the the skills transfer over pretty nicely

Horatio: Oh, this guy is just bullshit. He uses that hideously overpowered weapon that’s getting seriously nerfed next patch. However, in his hands, that weapon’s swan song is glorious

Lisa: Uses weapons and tactics that just shouldn’t work, and yet leaves a trail of broken and ruined bodies in her wake. It’s really embarrassing when she kills you, honestly. You thought you were better than that.

Gregor: Reaction time that borders on the supernatural. Methodical, ruthless and really, really fond of ambush tactics. Is an actual, real-life war hero.

Alex: Legitimately psychic. you’ve never even come close to killing them. In fact, they might be reading your mind right now. oh shit, they’re shooting your real name and address into the wall. holy shit.

    Your team:

Two raccoons in some guy’s ribcage: Technically they aren’t playing, but they are rummaging around in the torso of someone who died midgame and the spasmodic twitching of his corpse is the only explanation for his lackluster combat skills and navigational issues

Travis, the unlikable teen: Literally every aspect of this man’s personality is odious, and he just won’t stop singing Whitesnake lyrics over the mike, Muting him doesn’t work. His mom sounds nice, though; he really shouldn’t talk to her like that

Bert: Uses weapons and tactics that just don’t work. Frequently dies in ways that baffle the mind. Doesn’t learn from his mistakes

Bartholomew the Cursed: He desecrated a lot of tombs in his day, and is now suffering from a plethora of curses that render him unable to succeed at literally anything. Hilariously enough, he honestly thinks that video games aren’t covered by the curses. He’s wrong.

You: You’re trying your best, dammit.

Definitely fitting for some of the games I've played xD

that sounds like my games so far today. I keep on getting put into games that are half over with my team being stomped, or if I do get a full match my team is completely unable to even get past the first chokepoint, even if I change hero's to whoever is needed for the situation.

Maybe play Genji if you want higher skill ceiling heroes, lol. Not the one you 'E-RClick' with.

It's fun how the game's been out for two weeks and already we're spiraling down the usual elitism "I don't want to play with all these bads" bullshit. There isn't even a competitive mode released and people are ready to bring the full team-game mentality of "everyone but me is wrong."

    You know what's not fun?

Losing because people don't want to be team players.

If you just want to solo, only care about KDA and don't care about winning, fine, but recognise you're ruining the experience for others.

    I'm starting to get really shitty with people who don't understand how the escort missions work. If you're watching the enemy push their payload to the final checkpoint, do you;

A: Stand back and shoot, watching as they push the final five metres to victory, or
B: Rush the payload, knowing that your chances of survival aren't great but that you might give your team time to regroup and counterpush.

Because I've lost like eight games in the last few days to this shit.

Widow on offense chooses A, then says they contributed because they got 'kills'. Don't know how many times I've been wiped near objectives that are being overrun with a Widow close by still trying to shoot people.

I think it has more to do with people not knowing how to play specific Heroes, not knowing the map, and trying new things rather than not being team players. This game is only a few weeks old after all.

No. The not team player part comes when I'm told to fuck off for suggesting they should switch heroes to arrest a stomp.

Ok guy, keep picking Torb on offence and dying to the Pharrah who's blowing you up before you can even set up your ineffectual turret. I'll go fuck off too for having the temerity to suggest you switch to McCree or 76 to shoot her out of the sky.

Edit: I should add, the real heroes are the players who actually listen and we pull through heroically, which happens a refreshing amount. Got pulled into watchpoint gibraltar yesterday, went Lucio because there was no healer and groaned when I realised they were defending the last choke.

We pulled together, changed up the comp, and despite the Winston continuously pushing way too far fwd and getting killed, we won. It was brilliant, and intense, and why I love Overwatch.

We weren't necessarily better FPSers than them, but we still out played and out thought them.
