But yeah, today's chapter was pretty good, if only to see Soma teaming up with Alice and Kurokiba. The harassment from Central and the Examiners does put a bad taste in my mouth though. May only be because it brings to mind shitty fanfics where the protagonist keeps getting shit on by 'the establishment.'

I do look forward to Soma and Co pulling the best dish there out of their asses, though.

Hrmmm....watching the first ep of the Second Season, since that came out today. Anyone else feel like it's a bit fast paced? It actually feels like it's losing a bit of emphasis from where a short pause would be good to heighten the impact of some scenes.

AKA, it's losing some of it's 'epicness'

 

Haven't watched the first episode yet but it might be because this season is only 13 episodes.

 

It definitely felt rushed, but in their defense, they've a shit tonne to get through. I'm not entirely sure what the rush is, but if there's one thing I don't like about the manga, it's how much they draw things out.

This episode was probably on the other end of the spectrum, I think I'd prefer a happy middle...

So finished watching the second episode of the second season. Was not expecting it to turn into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

 

Something just feels off. Is it as simple as the pacing? It definitely feels like a massive run on sentence, but there's less retreading/repeating of concepts and scenes like there was in the first season.

Just weird.


Also, did they change Alice's voice actor? She just sounded weird to me, but we haven't really heard much of her in the anime tbf, maybe I'm just confusing it with whatever she sounds like in my head.
