So I finally downloaded Pokemon go and followed the troubleshooting settings for my ipod touch because "GPS not found" despite going through all the suggestions and restarting I still can't get the gps to work.

 

I've never had it working on my iPad. Only on my phone.

 

After doing a little more reading. It sounds as though my ipod will only work if I go to a place like Dunkin Donuts because the ipod doesn't have access to the cell network. My home wifi doesn't count as a hotspot.

Edit: It doesn't help that I live in the ass end of nowhere and have to travel ten minuets by car to the local wifi hotspot.

 

So I borrowed my friend's game to try it out and I caught his highest: a cp 482 Arcanine at level 6. Classic.

 

I finally figured this out and it sucks. This game only works if there are other people playing the game nearby you. If you live in the city where there are tons of people you can play if you live in the ass end of nowhere like Bradford, NH then you need to go to someplace like Concord NH which is a half hour away to find some pokemon.
Whelp that's it for me. I'm very disappointed about this.

 

Does anyone else use the poke vision app. It is really helpful

 

I use it in browser, i didn't even know there was an app form.

Nor would I dl it, as it works fine in browser.

 

It's not an app at all.

It does work on phone browsers, though, so it doesn't matter.

And they fucking released it, bugs and all, and started charging people for it.

Yeah, fuck that.

 

I think ppl are fine with playing it now...

 

The major bugs are gone in terms of crashes. The tracker still doesn't work but honestly I don't think that's a big deal and will be fixed soon.

In terms of the other stuff, the always intended to add more content. It's not like the let out an unfinished game, they let out the basic version and will add more content over time, you know, like almost all games do.

And in terms of first week crashes. A few tens of millions of downloads and players mate... No one can plan that for massive level of interest.

 

I've actually stopped going for Zubats and Spearows, wayy to much effort for so little gain. Those 50 candy evolutions for that breakout rate? No thanks.

Got my sister to download this last night, we spent the evening walking around the neighbourhood. She was less excited when she realised she had to leave for the train station at 8 am and we got in around 1 am.

Also missed a Snorlax spawn, was kind of fun to see over 20 people in the suburbs running for a Snorlax spawn point though. I guess I'm happy enough that we have regular Growlight/Pikachu spawns here.

 

Anyone notice them apart have changed?

In my area all the paths that used to show don't anymore. Only main roads. So now it looks like a bunch of poke stops are in the middle of nowhere.

 

30 Machops at a machop nest today.

Not a single one above 60% IV perfection.

This pattern is feeling a little too real to be coincidence : /.

 

I wonky managed a few tier 3 evolutions. Victoriebell, nidoqueen but not King yet, pollywrath who kicks arse.

Only ones I have left to do that are possible in my area although very low spawns are nidoking, golem, vilebloom and the top machop evolution.

After those there is nothing in my area at all, just egg hatches which I hate. I've had seven 10km eggs and 4 fucking Evees.

 

I /think/ TSR has confirmed that nests always have low IVs, and eggs tend to have high. I can't recall where I saw the post on this though
