As it is I have my high cp Pokemon, now I just want the last few ones that spawn around here. Then I guess I'll just let it run as I walk and hatch eggs.

Which IV tool are you guys using? I've been using the silphroad one but I'm highly uncertain about my CP arc placement. There's usually 2 positions that looks absolutely the same to me..

Last I had seen is that they had picked up on this (the assumption was that no nest pokemon had an attack IV over 3), but they didn't have enough confirmation to prove it.

It definitely feels super real to me- I've spent around the last 10 days at different nests, and never get any good IV%s.

I have one massive problem with the game. The fact that if you aren't in a big city it is almost impossible to keep up with the amount pokeballs needed without paying...

Hmm, maybe it's different in England. Around here, the suburbs are empty, but parks usually have stops and gyms, universities have a billion of them, and downtown areas of even pretty small places have a bunch of them.

I have one pokestop along the street. It's the only pokestop for about 4 miles in any direction.

I'm in a town of 8k, so I have maybe 4 with in two miles. Then it's a 5km walk to town to hit the hot zone.

I just spent 30 minutes doing math to see how much this dude who was level 36-38 had to be playing to hit that level. His original claim was that "no, he just played a lot don't be jelly lulz", and then said something along the lines of abusing account sharing and having multiple people all play the same account at the same time, with a permanent lucky egg up using some other exploit. But even that doesn't seem believable in only 21 days, so I did a whole bunch of math involving ideal situations.

I dunno, doing the math to point out the absurdity of a lie is sometimes pretty satisfying, especially when its THAT ridiculous.

(If you played 16 hours a day for weeks, had a permanent lucky egg up, filled out 145 in your pokedex, caught a pokemon with a great bonus every other minute in those 16 hours (and after catching everything except pidgey and pidgeotto, every catch is a pidgey), hit 9 pokestops and hatched 9 2k eggs every half hour and all the eggs were pidgeys with 8 candies, while also constantly evolving and transferring the ensuing pidgeottos, and you used up every single pidgey you could, you'd end up with roughly 12,980,000 xp with some error based on me ignoring fractions in the mass evolution... and that's still level 38).

Have Niantic given any indication when they might be able to have the 'Nearby Pokemon' working again? I'm getting into the game but in the last couple days a Kabutops and Aerodactyl have been somewhere right by my house and I've missed out on them. I tried using the PokeVision site but it only ever indicates the couple of nearby super common Pokemon.

The most likely theory for the 3 footprints bug is that its intentional on Niantic's part.

Because of things like Pokevision, which only uses information found through the game, we know the game for sure knows the exact location of every pokemon in your range.

We also know for sure the game knows where YOU are. That's pretty obvious.

So how is there a disconnect between a straight line drawn from you and the pokemon, and how long that line is?

The best answer I've seen is that Niantic intentionally disabled that tracking, for a reason like lessening server load. Everything is done server side in the game, so thats massively less work for the server to have to do I guess.

There's also another way. This application works better than PokeVision

The 7 closest gyms around me are all solidly team valor and minimum level 7. Only one has turned in 3 days and it was reclaimed in the hour. Team instinct and mystic have been crushed.

Thanks for that link Xandrel, it works so much better than PokeVision, and it's more convenient too.

Yeah, it's pretty great. The only complaint I have is that you have to type in your login each time. Though I hear that it will be improved in the next version, better check that place frequently.

Very much worth the hassle. Only wish scanning was faster, but otherwise slick as fuck. Good find.

Well then. They changed the spawn type of alot of the nests. Dratini nests have disappeared this cycle and replaced with eevees. Its kinda nice, I guess?
