That's honestly something I'd never considered. I guess it slipped by Jim and the proofreaders too, because logically there should be tons of room. I mean, unless the building is the size of a house like mine (I'm in the attic, which is large for a bedroom, but would be small for a flat) he should have lots of room.

We I've read all the books at least twice and much more for my favourites and I only just noticed now that I am doing this deep read.

Such an easy thing to let slip.

He tells us it is a small place, but in describing it, implies it's quite large with no logic way it wouldn't be.

Large is relative. Harry's American, and the space standards in North America are quite generous. What he considers 'small' might be a standard flat. He has a partitioned bedroom with bathroom at one end and a large fireplace at the other, which eat up some space.

I think the biggest thing, is that the building isn't that big. If they have just three people besides Harry in the place Harry's basement space must provide more room than anyone else gets. The only thing is when he was cleaning all his "contraband" in the lab he made it sound like a fairly small space. I'm not really sure.

Could be that it's a tall building, rather than having a large groundspace. Three storeys above ground, basement underneath, all of them having about the same amount of square footage.

Just looking over my notes and the questions we arranged.

We are told in Mirror Mirror we see a world that differs from Harry's starting from him making a different decision.

While most think it's something big like giving Marva the book of Kremmler or taking up the Mantle of Winter knight.

It could be much smaller... Like him taking Marcones offer to not investigate this case.

My pet theory is that he'd have chosen to run away from Justin DuMorne after he enthralled Elaine and sent He-Who-Walks-Behind after him.

I thought the WoG was that the change in divergence occurs in a later book.

I'm fairly certain it'll be book 3. Seems like the most logical place. That or Changes.

Changes would be the logical choice. But I get the feeling he wants to go for butterfly effect. A seemingly small decision.

We are nearing the end of our first 10 day period allotted for Storm Front discussion. If you have anything left you feel you'd like to discuss, or if you're still reading you have a little time to finish up before we begin our next book.

I"ll make an announcement of the thread creation for the next book in the stickied book club thread.

Unfortunately I've fallen off this. Had a lot of other stuff I had to tend to during the reading period and I don't think I'll be rushing through what's left of Storm Front before the deadline.

Good to know. I do plan to finish Storm Front eventually this week and I'll probably pick up Fool Moon thereafter just for keeping to the release order.
