The only story I can remember having that particular detail was How Fleur Delacour Seduced Me AKA: I'm a Lucky, Lucky Man. It used to be on FFN, but the author has removed it from there.

 

I've been racking my brain trying to remember this story over the weekend, anyone else read it and remember the name/title/author, anything?

What I remember:

A girl is reading the Harry Potter books, only to be told by her vampire roommate (I wanna say her name is Cassandra), that the Harry Potter books written by JK Rowling don't reflect the "real" Harry Potter as she (the vampire) had known him.

Subsequent chapters then go on to detail her first meeting with Harry (and Dumbledore), I believe to meet the vampire's mother (who told her to behave?). Later scenes include the vampire and Harry at a ball, where he is accosted by Fleur for his failing to save Cedric in the TriWizard Tournament, and a number of scenes of the vampire and Harry interacting. Harry seems to be Dumbledore's mentor throughout the work.

I don't think it was finished; but I can't quite remember when I read it, so I am unsure if it is abandoned.

Crossover story.
Harry Potter works as Auror. His superiors send him on vacation because his partner is in hospital... again. He ends up in the middle of the alien invasion because of portkey failure.

 

What alien invasion? Do you have any idea what the crossover universe is?

I think I know what your talking about. Isn't Daphne Greengrass Harry's girlfriend or something in it?

 

Hermione tries to travel back in time but instead ends up in an alternate universe where Grindelwalds still trying to take over. She finds out that her alternate self is considered an idiot by everyone and was adopted by purebloods. Her father put her into a coma trying to get her to be accepted by family rings.

She finds out that Britain's more inclusive to muggle magic tech and all Hogwarts students are expected to do jobs that help the war effort except she's considered too dumb. There was a scene where she meets Malfoy and he mocks her, apparently both her alternate self and Pansy liked him. She also has an older brother that dotes on her and gets the teachers to pass her even though she's a slacker.

She also encountered a merman that notices shes changed. In the story there was a fiendfyre general of Grindelwald, and Lily Potter and Alice Longbottom are well known fighters.

That's all I remember it was apparently abandoned before it ever really got going but it seemed interesting. Any ideas?

It is the copypasted SilverAegis Harry/fem!self prologue. There actually are quite a few authors trying their hands at that, but I can't remember having seen that as a oneshot. Perhaps someone else in here has.

 

I did a quick search and couldn't find the original, though Agnostics Puppet has taken over the story.

I remember coming across this two years ago, but not the title or the author's name or even the summary.

I do remember it involved an adult dimension-hopping Harry Potter, who arrives into a new world just in the Room of Requirements (I think it was always there, and it wasn't his first jaunt), except this time there were some Hogwarts students in there, trying to summon someone to help them in their struggle against Voldemort and they thought they summoned him.

Another significant bit I remember is that this adult Harry took a shine to Ron and spent more time being friendly with him, mentoring him even, than he did with his counterpart, his counterpart's family (James, Lily and two more, I think) or Hermione. There was something else about him, like he wasn't really a jovial and friendly figure in general, and had his own agenda for traveling to different worlds all the time.

 

Daphne Greengrass learns about the marriage contract with Harry Potter. Harry Potter wasn't seen for a while, and she assumed he is a dropout. But her father learns he got the Healer's license abroad, so that's not the case.
Meanwhile Harry returns to Britain. He is secretly taking out DE's in disguise while posing as a Healer that wants to stay out of the war.
