I think you are severely underestimating how popular trump is.

 

A lot of people hate Trump. A lot of people hate Hillary. A lot of people love Trump. Not a lot of people love Hillary.

It seems to boil down to that. Not a good night.

 

Hard to say, Trump's calculation from the beginning has been that he can polarize the electorate to win big with Whites, and secondly that Republicans would fall in line. So I think he was right on both counts.

Democrats thought that people would care about his personal foibles, but to a lot of people those aren't bad things, maybe even badges of honor.

 

No, he's really popular in certain areas. He got 49.1% of the vote in Florida. He'd still probably lose to a popular dem but no one thought he would win this morning.

And I'm in an existential crisis with an impending Trump win, as I work on weapons of mass destruction for my day job. So long as international relations norms are respected and they're intended (and regarded as) a deterrent, there's moral justification for what I do.

If in Trump's hands, well, suicide is perhaps the only honorable option (given that I'm to be complicit in the destruction of millions).

 

Trump is popular because Hillary has gotten away with things that would see a normal person put in jail.

His entire position is "I'm not popular with the establishment, but she is, vote for me to see an end to that!"

I actually blame the Democrats for being such massive fuckups for Trump's win.

It was obvious how much baggage Hillary had.
