HF I never said I was at all sure, I just think that out of everyone that read is the one I believe in the most.

 

Because Palindromes replacement isn't even here yet. Drome was pretty townie as well.
Also Kai hasn't really posted a lot, and um meant to put them more neutral as well say dark green so woops

I have indeed played, albeit I tend to stretch out several months between games. As memory serves this is #6 within roughly three years. Both you and Jarizok have been stumbling along the thread and right now I'm having a hard time deciding if everything I'm getting a ping off of is just newbie mistakes or newbie-scum mistakes. I remember getting lynched for similar behavior when I first got back into playing and it stung so I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt here.

Can you (remind, if you haven't already-) explain why your town reads and scum reads are as such?

 

The Waco Kid I used blue for light townreads. I would explain about Fluffy, but I said I’d only answer questions if you’d posted your own list so Ima stick to that.
Zenzao On my reread I came across your question of which Mafiathreads I’ve read on this site which I missed at the time, so: I followed WH7 a bit as it happened, which got me interested in the game. After I signed up for this game I started reading threads with the first one on this site. I read the next Hogsmeade vs death eaters as well, but that one never finished. I then read a random WH that started close after that 2nd Hogsmeade game and I’ve reread Eidolonic’s WH6 cos it’s stickied.
miner11121 Lol, I guess I will explain my Fluffy read after all: I got townie flavor from #52 and nothing he’s said has changed my opinion of him. Others have also said they’re townreading him (#74/82, #150, #211)which is just reinforcing my read on him.

Did you get your towny feeling simply from him hinting at his flavor? Cuz that's the extent of his post plus an RVS.

 

You answered my question anyway thanks to Miner, but you policy is poor play. A rainbow wall is supposed to be accompanied with reasoning for why it is the way it is. A colored list without names doesn't mean that much, especially this early in the game.

Can you please re-phrase that last sentance? As in, did you mean to say you wanted them to be more neutral (aka yellowish), or did you want them as dark green?

Please elaborate on these town reads for me? What have these players said that leads you to believe that they're town? What have they down that would help town catch the mafia? Are you subconsciously thinking of them as town because you already know they are? What does the status of Palindrome's replacement have to do with her towniness?

I already explained that his entrance in this game reminds me heavily of Mimefia where he was universally townread and lynched d1. I mentioned that it's a gut feeling thing, and that it's nothing concrete, but as for now he's my top townread until something else happens.

This is not how town presents an early read, this is scum trying to stay ahead of thread consensus and get credit for it.

Questioning an early town read. There's ways to ask noobs for reasoning that isn't implying that their ideas are baseless. This wouldn't be as bad without the followup.

Like the vibe I'm getting from this line is not "Hey newbie, I think you're getting tricked, lets lynch this scum", its "Guys, this newb is being inconsistent in a scummy way, but I'd rather go after a juicier target. And regardless of how waco flips, jarizok will look worse".

imo, correct town responses either fall into either

1. Ignore it, give reasons why later if he follows up

2. "Nope, I'm still the priest and just decided to be more aggressive this game"

Like, this entire post contradicts itself. Talking about rolefishing like this lets rolefishing be successful. If its a scummy trap, why would you fall into it while saying you're trying to avoid it? Ignore the topic, or respond with brazen wine. Town can use wine too.

I'm vetoing this. You've had more than enough time to get reactions from it. Like, I know your meta, you know your meta, Delphine apparently knows your meta, you know I know your meta, ect. I'll still nail you to the wall Day2 if you continue such a brazenly anti-town play on day1.

Either way, we actually have a decent amount of opinions for this early, but not nearly enough conflict, and your play here might have sparked conflict with a different playerlist, but no such luck right now. The problem right now is getting people to commit lynching intent votes, and you're part of it.

What are your thoughts re Kai and Delphine?
